‘Know Japan’ & Facilitation Centre at PCCoE to open new avenues for Engineering Students & Industries

Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s (PCET’s) Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), Pradhikaran Nigdi, Pune is organizing a Two Days Event ‘Know Japan’ in association with Indo Japanese Business Council (IJBC) on 14 and 15 Oct 2022. This Event is organized to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Indo–Japan Relationship.   

Indo-Japan relationship is completing 70 years of its cooperation. Commemorating the anniversary, Indo Japanese Business Council along with Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE) is organising an Event focused on Senior College Students of Pune and the Pimpri Chinchwad area who wish to pursue careers in Japan.

Talking about the event Prof. Dr Govind Kulkarni, Director of PCCoE said, “‘Know Japan’ Event will update Students’ Education, Research and Career opportunities available in various Japanese Universities as well as in Japanese Industries. The Event also emphasizes Japanese Language Training, Culture, Traditions and Customs in Japanese Society.”

The Event also includes Sector-wise Scope and Opportunities, Panel Discussions, Business and Collaboration Opportunities and Experience sharing for Industry Delegates who are interested in collaboration with Japanese Industries in various areas.  More than 1100 Students from 26 Colleges in and around Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune have registered for the ‘Know Japan’ Event. Nearly 150 Industries are attending the Event.   

This Event assures to prove an authentic platform for Japan which will benefit Students as a starting point for their Career aspirations and endeavours in Japan. Industries will receive benefits in the form of the identification of the right Partners for Collaboration, Business opportunities with Japan and the process of Collaboration. 

Dr Fukahori Yasukata, Consul General, Consulate – General of Japan in Mumbai will grace the Event as ‘Chief Guest’ and Dr Dnyaneshwar M Mulay, Member, National Human Rights Commission will grace the Event as ‘Guest of Honour. The Dignitaries will also address Industry Delegates separately.  “This event marks a milestone for the Pimpri Chinchwad area for the creation of ‘Facilitation Centre’ which will be inaugurated during the Event on 14 and 15 Oct 2022 at 09:00 AM in the PCCoE Campus”, added Dr Govind N. Kulkarni.   

Dr Girish M Desai, Executive Director, PCET appealed to all for the enthusiastic participation and to help PCET to make this event a grand success. He further shared that on the background of the upcoming ‘Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU)’ this Event is particularly important to give a global dimension to the proposed University.
