The vehicle’s technology package includes a generative AI voice assistant featuring Intelligence by Perplexity and voice AI powered by SoundHound AI. It is designed to respond to natural-language requests relating to travel, weather, hotels, restaurants, news and sports.
An NVIDIA-accelerated Connected Car Navigation Cockpit integrates graphics, navigation and connected services. The cabin features 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, along with more than 70 Hyundai Bluelink connected features, over-the-air updates for up to 19 controllers and more than 500 embedded voice commands. Hyundai Bluelink is included with a complimentary three-year subscription.
Safety features include Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 Pro ADAS with 23 driver assistance functions, supported by three radars and 12 parking sensors. Other systems include Highway Driving Assist, navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Surround View Monitor and Blind-spot View Monitor.
Built on the Global K Enhanced Platform, the BAYON uses a body structure incorporating 69% Advanced MultiGrade High-Strength Steel. Hyundai says the vehicle offers more than 80 safety features, with over 35 provided as standard across variants. These include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-start Assist Control, a roll-over sensor and a high-pressure tyre monitoring system.
The 2,600 mm wheelbase is designed to provide cabin space for occupants in both rows. Comfort features include ventilated front seats, an electrically adjustable eight-way driver’s seat, reclining rear seats, automatic climate control, rear air-conditioning vents and a panoramic sunroof.
Hyundai Motor India said the BAYON has been developed to combine connected mobility, driver assistance and everyday convenience in a single vehicle. Its launch adds a new model to the company’s Indian SUV portfolio while extending its export offering.
