Endress+Hauser has received the Swiss Manufacturing Award 2026 from the University of St Gallen in recognition of its performance in innovation, growth, resilience, employment and business success. The award was presented on October 20 during the St. Gallen Production Management Conference.

The company was selected from five finalists for its manufacturing capabilities and its contribution to Switzerland’s industrial sector. The jury highlighted the importance of combining a strong local presence with international operations to maintain Switzerland’s position as a manufacturing hub. Endress+Hauser develops measurement technology and automation solutions for industrial applications. The company continues to invest in production facilities, technology and employee skills in Switzerland and across its global manufacturing network.

Dr Mirko Lehmann, Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Flow, said the award recognised the company’s approach to manufacturing measurement instruments. He said ongoing investments in innovation, technology and employee expertise, supported by the company’s family ownership, enabled it to pursue long-term objectives.

The jury noted that Endress+Hauser’s international presence and continued investment in Swiss operations supported its ability to respond to changing market conditions. Switzerland provides access to skilled workers and enables close cooperation with universities and research institutions, helping the company develop its technological capabilities.

Employees also play an important role in translating new technologies into practical industrial applications. Their understanding of customer requirements and industry experience supports product development, operational performance and the company’s competitiveness.

Founded in 1953, Endress+Hauser has maintained strong roots in Switzerland while expanding its international business. Its headquarters in Reinach, near Basel, houses the Group’s parent company, Endress+Hauser Flow, which serves as the competence centre for flow measurement technology, Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions and the Swiss Sales Center. The company’s Swiss network also includes sales offices in western and southern Switzerland and Innovative Sensor Technology (IST), based in Ebnat-Kappel. IST is a subsidiary of Endress+Hauser.

The Swiss Manufacturing Award has been presented by the University of St. Gallen since 2019. It recognises companies for their innovation, sustainable growth and contribution to Switzerland’s manufacturing sector. The jury bases its decision on findings from the annual Swiss Manufacturing Survey, which examines developments and trends in Swiss industry. Endress+Hauser said continued investment in technology, production and its workforce would remain central to maintaining its manufacturing capabilities and supporting long-term business development.
