Toyota Kirloskar Motor Introduces the New Toyota Glanza: A Smart, Sharp and Awesome Choice for New India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced the new Toyota Glanza, with updated styling, additional safety features, improved cabin comfort and new convenience options. Bookings for the hatchback are open at ₹11,000, with prices starting at ₹6.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

The launch is supported by the campaign theme “Whatta Move” and targets customers in urban and rural markets. The new Glanza builds on the model’s presence in India’s hatchback segment, where customers seek a combination of affordability, fuel efficiency, comfort and safety.

Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the Glanza had been a popular choice since its launch in 2019. He said the 2026 model brings a sportier design, a more premium cabin and additional safety technologies as the company continues to address changing customer needs.

The new Glanza is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine producing 61 kW of power and 112.4 Nm of torque. The manual transmission variant offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.80 km/l, while the automated manual transmission (AMT) variant delivers 24.77 km/l. The CNG powertrain produces 51.3 kW and 101.8 Nm of torque. Toyota has also introduced an AMT option in the CNG variants to provide greater driving convenience.

The exterior features LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, LED rear combination lamps, a chrome-accented grille, chrome door handles and a rear window wiper. The cabin adds ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, dual-tone interiors and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Other features include automatic climate control, rear air-conditioning vents, a head-up display and a 60:40 split rear seat.

For connectivity, the Glanza features a 22.86 cm Smart Playcast Pro infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota i-Connect offers remote vehicle access, vehicle health information, safety alerts, geofencing and service-related information. Smartwatch integration and voice-assistance compatibility are also available. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President of Sales, Service and Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the new model includes enhancements in safety, convenience and connectivity.

The Glanza introduces Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, autonomous emergency braking and high beam assist. Additional safety features include a tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags, vehicle stability control, hill hold control, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages.

The model is available in seven colours, including two new shades: Bluish Black and Digital Teal Green. Toyota offers a standard warranty of three years or 100,000 km, extendable to five years or 220,000 km, along with 24-hour roadside assistance and express maintenance services.
