PPS Motors has inaugurated a new Mahindra vehicle service centre at Khalad in Saswad, Pune, expanding its after-sales service network in Maharashtra. The 25,400-square-foot facility is the company’s 151st Mahindra touchpoint in India and takes its network to nine touchpoints in and around Pune.
The workshop is described by the company as the largest upcountry automobile service facility in the Pune region. It has 18 service bays, including 13 general service bays and five dedicated bodyshop bays, and is equipped with diagnostic and repair equipment. The facility has the capacity to service more than 4,500 vehicles annually.
The inauguration was attended by senior representatives from Mahindra & Mahindra and PPS Group. Mahindra representatives included Pavan Kumar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales, Customer Care and Customer Experience; Sachin Gupta, Vice President and Head of Customer Care; Manoj Kumar, Zonal Head of Customer Care for the West Zone; and Samira Mahapatra, Regional Customer Care Manager for Pune.
PPS Group representatives included Supreeth R., CEO of PPS-M&M for Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala; Pakshal Shah, Chief of Staff; and Insha Maseeh, Chief Operating Officer of PPS-M&M Maharashtra. The new service centre is intended to improve access to vehicle maintenance and repairs for Mahindra customers in Saswad and nearby areas. The region has a substantial farming community and a growing base of Mahindra vehicle owners, creating demand for accessible after-sales services.
The workshop will provide routine vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and bodyshop services. Its capacity is designed to support customers across the surrounding market while improving convenience and reducing the need to travel to more distant service locations.
Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director of PPS Motors, said the inauguration marked an expansion of the company’s Mahindra network. He said PPS Motors operated across six Indian states and worked with Mahindra to provide customers with a strong vehicle ownership experience. He added that the companies aimed to combine Mahindra’s products and customer-focused approach with PPS Motors’ understanding of local customer requirements.
PPS-Mahindra has sold more than 6,200 vehicles in the Pune region in the two years since starting local operations, according to the company. PPS Motors is part of an automobile retail group with more than 75 years of experience. The wider group operates over 720 automobile touchpoints across 22 states and employs more than 18,000 people. Its business covers 16 automotive brands across passenger vehicles, light and heavy commercial vehicles, and construction equipment. The Saswad facility adds to the group’s service infrastructure in Maharashtra and is intended to support the growing after-sales requirements of Mahindra vehicle owners in the Pune region.
