The Supervisory Board will propose his reappointment to shareholders at the company’s 2027 Annual General Meeting (AGM). If approved, Mr Chery will serve a further one-year term as Chairman of the Managing Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of STMicroelectronics.

The proposed reappointment is intended to maintain continuity in the company’s strategy and operations. According to STMicroelectronics, Mr Chery’s leadership, strategic direction and focus on execution have helped guide the company’s development and strengthen its value proposition.

The Supervisory Board’s decision recognises the importance of maintaining the current strategic direction, continuing disciplined execution and building on the progress achieved under Mr Chery’s leadership. The proposal will be submitted to shareholders for consideration at the 2027 AGM. His continued tenure will therefore depend on the outcome of the shareholder vote.
