Dassault Systèmes has concluded the 20th edition of its 3DEXPERIENCE Forum India 2026, bringing together industry leaders, technology experts and enterprise decision-makers to discuss the role of Industrial AI and Virtual Twin technologies in industrial transformation. Held at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, the event was organised around the theme “AI-Driven Industrial Transformation: 3D UNIV+RSES From Vision to Action.” Discussions focused on how artificial intelligence, engineering simulation and virtual representations of products and processes can help businesses address complex challenges and improve operations.
Opening the conference, Deepak NG, Managing Director of Dassault Systèmes India, said India was entering a new phase of industrial growth driven by AI, advanced technologies and the need to innovate at scale. He highlighted the importance of connecting intelligence across enterprises rather than relying on isolated AI applications. He also discussed how industrial data, AI and Virtual Companions can bring physics-based simulation and engineering capabilities into AI-driven processes. Building on the introduction of 3D UNIV+RSES in the previous year, the forum examined the use of AI and Virtual Twin technologies to address enterprise challenges.
Elisa Prisner, Executive Vice President of Strategy, Industry Marketing and Transformation at Dassault Systèmes, discussed the shift from static digital representations to adaptive systems that can learn and evolve. She highlighted the relationship between prediction, optimisation and innovation, and the need to connect AI with real-world conditions.
Olivier Sappin, CEO of CATIA at Dassault Systèmes, demonstrated applications of 3D UNIV+RSES, including generative engineering and connected virtual environments. The forum featured speakers from several major Indian companies who discussed digital transformation across mobility, supply chains, manufacturing, defence and engineering.
Aarti Singh, Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Mahindra & Mahindra, spoke about the use of Virtual Twin experiences in mobility engineering. Balasubramanian Krishnamoorthy, Chief Digital Officer at Reliance Industries Limited, discussed digital transformation and operational performance.
Aashish Kshetry, Vice President of Supply Chain at Asian Paints, addressed the use of digital platforms in supply chain management. Prashant Chiranjive Jain, Managing Director of L&T Vyoma, discussed AI-powered Virtual Twins for industrial and space engineering challenges.
Sitangshu Nandy of IAC – International Automotive India Pvt Ltd spoke about connected industrial ecosystems in automotive design and tooling, while Dnyaneshwar Dandekar, Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Sharda Motors, discussed innovation in research, development and component engineering using 3D platforms. Strategic partners, including Bosch and EDS, also presented solutions developed on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for industrial customers.
The event’s 3DEXPERIENCE Playground featured demonstrations covering the product development process, from design and engineering to simulation and manufacturing. The exhibition showed how Virtual Companions can support engineers and other specialists at different stages of a product’s lifecycle.
A key highlight was the unveiling of the trophy for AAKRUTI 2026, Dassault Systèmes’ innovation competition. Designed entirely using the company’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the trophy showcased applications of digital design and engineering in product development. The forum provided a platform for industry participants to exchange experiences and examine how Industrial AI and Virtual Twin technologies can be applied to business and manufacturing challenges.
