Chief executives from leading global technology and industrial companies will participate in ADIPEC 2026 as the energy industry examines the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in energy production, infrastructure and operations. The event will take place in Abu Dhabi from November 2 to 5, bringing together technology companies, energy operators, investors and policymakers.

Executives from Siemens AG, Honeywell, AVEVA, Cognite, Siemens Energy, AIQ, Schneider Electric and SandboxAQ are among the confirmed speakers. AI will feature across the Strategic and Technical Conferences, exhibition and leadership roundtables, with discussions covering industrial automation, asset optimisation, cybersecurity, energy infrastructure and the rising electricity requirements of data centres.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), widespread adoption of existing AI applications could deliver up to US$110 billion in annual power generation savings by 2035 and unlock up to 175 GW of additional transmission capacity from existing power lines. At the same time, the expansion of AI applications and data centres is increasing electricity demand and creating new requirements for power generation and grid infrastructure.

Roland Busch, President and CEO, Siemens AG, said, “Industrial AI delivers the most value for energy systems when intelligence is engineered into infrastructure at its core, including the grids, industrial systems and buildings that keep economies running day to day. These systems need to perform reliably under pressure, whether they were built decades ago or are under construction today. Scaling that requires sustained investment, deep engineering expertise and closer collaboration between the energy and technology sectors.”

Other confirmed speakers include Caspar Herzberg, CEO, AVEVA; Dr Christian Bruch, President and CEO, Siemens Energy; Girish Rishi, CEO, Cognite; Vimal Kapur, Chairman and CEO, Honeywell; Dennis Jol, CEO, AIQ; Uljan Sharka, Founder and CEO, Domyn; Dr Olivier Oullier, CEO, Inclusive Brains; Tim Bawtree, Chairman and Founder, Quantum Switch; Olivier Blum, CEO, Schneider Electric; and Jack Hidary, CEO, SandboxAQ.

The dedicated AI, Digital & Technology Innovation Strategic Conference will focus on the deployment of AI across energy operations, including automation, predictive analytics, asset management, cybersecurity, data infrastructure and returns on technology investments. Discussions will also address the additional energy and infrastructure requirements created by AI and data centres.

Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, organiser of ADIPEC, said, “AI is opening up significant opportunities for the energy industry. The priority now is identifying which applications are worth backing and how to deploy them securely at scale. That takes more than technology; it requires engineering expertise, investment and commercial discipline.”

AI is also attracting strong interest in the ADIPEC Technical Conferences. The programme received a record 7,261 abstract submissions, with AI & Digital Transformation receiving 1,296 submissions, the highest among the technical categories. More than 200 sessions and 1,100 expert speakers will examine technologies and engineering solutions for energy operations.

The expanded AI Zone, co-hosted by AIQ, will showcase applications including reservoir modelling, autonomous operations, infrastructure inspection, grid management and subsea robotics. Stone Ridge Technology will introduce an AI-native workflow orchestration layer around its GPU-based ECHELON reservoir simulation software, while Honeywell will demonstrate AI-enabled autonomous upstream operations through Honeywell Forge Upstream.

EY and Gecko Robotics will demonstrate robotic inspection technologies for pipelines and power plants, combining physical asset data with AI analytics. Sinaha will showcase autonomous mobile robots used in its warehouses and its Robotics Management System. The event will also host invitation-only AI Leadership Roundtables for senior energy and technology executives to discuss investment, infrastructure, governance and regulatory issues related to AI adoption.

Hosted by ADNOC and held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, ADIPEC 2026 is expected to attract 239,000 attendees, more than 2,250 exhibiting companies and over 1,800 speakers across 13 conference programmes.
