Cyngn Inc (NASDAQ: CYN) has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system supporting Cyngn Insight, the company’s cloud-based fleet management platform for deployed autonomous vehicles. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is an international standard for information security management systems. The certification confirms that Cyngn has established processes and controls covering areas such as access management, risk assessment, incident response, business continuity, vendor management and data protection.
The certification comes as manufacturers and logistics operators place greater emphasis on cybersecurity and information governance when evaluating connected and autonomous technologies. Autonomous vehicle systems increasingly connect with customer networks, operational systems and enterprise infrastructure, making information security an important part of technology procurement.
“Enterprise customers expect their technology partners to demonstrate that security is built into how they operate,” said Lior Tal, CEO of Cyngn. “Achieving ISO 27001 certification gives our customers independent validation of the systems and controls we have established to protect information and manage security risk. It also removes another potential barrier as we work with increasingly sophisticated enterprise organizations.”
Cyngn said the certification strengthens its ability to meet the security and governance requirements of large enterprise customers. The company also expects to complete its SOC 2 Type II examination in October 2026, adding another independent assessment of its information security controls.
Cyngn develops and deploys Autonomous DriveMod Tuggers for industrial customers. The vehicles are designed to automate repetitive material handling routes in manufacturing facilities and warehouses. The company’s autonomous tugger systems are intended to address operational challenges including labour shortages and safety incidents. The vehicles can operate on defined material movement routes without requiring extensive infrastructure installation.
Through its EasyLaunch programme, customers can deploy one tugger on a single route through a monthly payment model, without an upfront capital expenditure or long-term commitment, according to the company. Cyngn Insight provides fleet management capabilities for deployed autonomous vehicles. The platform is designed to support the management and monitoring of autonomous vehicle operations within industrial environments.
The ISO 27001 certification covers the information security management system supporting Cyngn Insight. The standard requires organisations to maintain and continually improve their information security management systems through defined policies, controls and risk management processes.
Cyngn said the certification will support its work with manufacturers, logistics operators and other industrial organisations that require formal security controls before deploying connected technologies across their facilities. The company expects its ISO 27001 certification, together with the planned SOC 2 Type II examination, to support enterprise deployments where cybersecurity and data governance are part of customer evaluation and procurement processes.
