Blue Cloud Solutions Limited (NSE: BLUECLOUDS | BSE: 539607 | ISIN: INE373T01047) has received formal confirmation from Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) of its association as Industry Partner for the Blue Cloud Softech IndiaAI Centre of Excellence (AI-CoE) proposed in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. STPI, an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has informed Blue Cloud that the proposal for the establishment of the AI-CoE, recommended by the Government of Odisha, has received in-principle approval from MeitY. STPI has also requested the company to initiate the process for executing a definitive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Under the proposed MoU, Blue Cloud will commit ₹4 crore towards development of the Centre and provide industry leadership, mentorship and strategic support to emerging AI startups. The AI-CoE is proposed as a platform for applied artificial intelligence innovation, startup incubation, capacity building and deployment of responsible AI solutions. Its focus areas will include healthcare, governance, disaster management, education and industrial applications.

The Centre will also address sectors linked to Odisha’s geographical and developmental priorities, including oceanography, coastal fisheries, tidal and ocean energy, and women and child development. STPI has earmarked approximately 10,000 square feet of built-up space and supporting infrastructure for the establishment and operation of the Centre.

The AI-CoE is being developed under the IndiaAI Mission, the Government of India’s national programme administered by MeitY to build AI compute infrastructure and strengthen the country’s AI innovation ecosystem. Blue Cloud said its role as Industry Partner will build on platforms already developed for sectors identified as priorities for the Centre. These include BluHealth, a camera-based non-invasive vital screening platform; Blura SAGA and SOCEYE for public safety and governance applications; and Access Genie, its sovereign AI and 5G digital infrastructure stack.

The company plans to make its technology platforms, engineering resources and enterprise and government customer network available to startups incubated at the Centre. This is intended to help startups develop solutions that can move from innovation and testing to wider deployment in India and international markets.

Tejesh Kumar Kodali, Group Chairman, Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited, said, “Odisha is exactly the kind of place where applied AI should be built. There are real problems to solve in healthcare, disaster management, coastal fisheries and the ocean economy, and a State Government and STPI that want solutions deployed, not merely researched. Blue Cloud builds sovereign AI platforms for public safety, healthcare and digital infrastructure, and our commitment to this Centre goes well beyond capital. We will bring our platforms, our engineers and our mentorship to every startup that comes through Bhubaneswar, and we are honoured that MeitY, STPI and the Government of Odisha have placed this confidence in us.”

Vinod Babu Bollikonda, Managing Director and Group CEO, Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited, said, “The Centre of Excellence is a natural extension of the work Blue Cloud is already doing under the IndiaAI Mission and with governments across India and Africa. We will move quickly to execute the definitive MoU with STPI so that the Centre can begin operations, and we look forward to Bhubaneswar becoming a reference point for how industry, government and startups can build responsible AI together.”

Blue Cloud will provide further updates on the execution of the definitive MoU and other material developments in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
