GibbsCAM is hosting a week-long technical training programme for its India reseller network from 28 September to 2 October 2026 at the Sandvik Innovation Hub, Pune. The training will be led by Bruce King, Application Engineer Manager at GibbsCAM, who will be visiting India from United States, for the first time, specifically for this programme.
Bruce brings 21 years of CAD/CAM application engineering experience, including 15 years working directly with GibbsCAM. His expertise spans Advanced 3-Axis and 5-Axis Milling, toolpath optimisation, CNC programming best practices, complex part machining, and CAM workflow optimisation. The sessions are designed around real-world applications, with resellers encouraged to bring their own parts, projects, and programming challenges for hands-on review and guidance throughout the week.
The training covers advanced milling strategies, 5-axis simultaneous machining, surface finish optimisation, cycle time reduction, and complex geometry programming. Each session combines demonstration, best practice discussion, and direct problem-solving, giving resellers practical knowledge they can apply immediately with their customers on the shop floor.
The week will also include an update on GibbsCAM’s ongoing collaboration with 3Dconnexion, which has now certified support for the 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse. Sajeesh from 3Dconnexion will join the training for a short session to introduce the product range, demonstrate how it works with GibbsCAM, and explain what the certification means for resellers and their customers, including new bundling opportunities that let resellers offer 3Dconnexion products alongside GibbsCAM licenses. Coming midway through an intensive training schedule, the session also gives resellers a practical look at how a 3D mouse can support faster navigation, smoother model verification, and more precise control during CNC programming with GibbsCAM.
The Sandvik Innovation Hub in Pune serves as the base for GibbsCAM’s India operations and provides the infrastructure for the kind of in-depth, application-focused training this programme demands. The week runs from Monday 28 September through Friday 2 October, with an optional extension to Saturday 3 October for resellers requiring additional time.
For a CAM software platform growing its India reseller network, the ability to deliver this level of technical expertise in person, in India, represents a significant step in building local capability that can support customers across the country without depending on overseas resources.GibbsCAM is a professional CAM software application used to programme CNC machine tools. Part of the Sandvik Group, GibbsCAM specialises in multi-axis machining, mill-turn, and complex simultaneous operations, and is trusted by precision manufacturers across 40 countries. GibbsCAM is available in India through its authorised reseller network.
