Alkem Laboratories Ltd (BSE: 539523, NSE: ALKEM) has launched Renocia Exo™, a patented Ginsenoside Exosome-based hair growth serum developed to support hair follicle health and address multiple biological processes associated with hair thinning. The launch comes as hair loss is becoming an increasing dermatological concern among both ageing adults and younger people. Genetics, lifestyle changes, environmental factors and changing health patterns can contribute to hair loss. Alkem said advances in understanding the biology of hair loss have highlighted the role of several interconnected processes rather than a single factor.

Renocia Exo™ has been developed to support multiple biological processes associated with healthy hair follicle function. The formulation is designed to support signalling pathways involved in hair follicle activity and promote an environment for healthier and stronger hair over time.

“The science of hair restoration has evolved significantly over the last decade, and so has our understanding of what drives progressive hair thinning. It is influenced by multiple biological processes, including follicular miniaturization, altered cellular signalling, oxidative stress, inflammation, and changes within the follicular microenvironment. This evolving understanding calls for equally evolved therapeutic solutions. With Renocia Exo™, we bring together multiple regenerative technologies to support the biology of the hair follicle in a single daily therapy,” said Sandeep Singh, Managing Director, Alkem.

According to the company, conventional topical approaches often focus primarily on stimulating visible hair growth, while Renocia Exo™ has been formulated to address several interconnected processes involved in hair follicle function. The serum is described as lightweight and suitable for regular use as part of dermatologist-guided hair loss management. It is formulated without alcohol, sulphates, silicones, parabens and mineral oil.

With the product launch, Alkem is expanding its dermatology portfolio and applying emerging scientific approaches to hair care and hair loss management. The company said the product is aimed at addressing changing patient requirements through a formulation that combines multiple regenerative technologies in a daily-use therapy.
