Exide Industries Limited (“Exide India”), one of India’s leading lead-acid battery and energy storage solutions companies, and ExCom Energy Solutions GmbH (“ExCom GmbH”), Germany, have entered into a long-term strategic cooperation agreement covering industrial batteries and energy storage systems across the European Economic Area (EEA). Signed on September 15, 2026, the agreement establishes a commercial and technical collaboration between the two companies, with products offered under the ExCom brand. ExCom GmbH will serve as the central commercial and technical interface for customers across the EEA, leading customer development, distribution, technical project support and after-sales coordination.
The cooperation will initially focus on traction and motive-power battery solutions for material-handling equipment, logistics operations and other industrial mobility applications. The partnership will also cover stationary battery systems for industrial, infrastructure and energy storage applications.
The collaboration combines Exide India’s manufacturing capabilities, technology portfolio and decades of experience in industrial battery solutions with ExCom GmbH’s market presence, application engineering expertise, customer relationships and local support infrastructure. Together, the companies aim to provide customers across the EEA with application-specific solutions tailored to technical, regulatory and operational requirements.
The portfolio will encompass battery systems, charging technologies, system integration, application engineering and lifecycle services. The companies intend to support customers throughout the battery lifecycle, from product selection and system design to installation, operation, maintenance and after-sales service.
