Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition in India, paying tribute to the heritage and values of the Gorkha Regiment. The new edition combines the familiar design of the Classic 350 with distinctive styling inspired by the regiment’s tradition of courage, discipline and service.

The motorcycle is finished in a special Gorkha Green colour and features a bespoke insignia with crossed Khukris. The design elements have been created specifically for the Gorkha Edition and are intended to reflect the identity and heritage associated with the regiment.

The Classic 350 Gorkha Edition retains the motorcycle’s upright riding position and J-series engine. It also comes with an Assist & Slipper clutch for smoother gear changes and a Type-C USB fast-charging port for added convenience. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Chief Commercial Officer, Royal Enfield, said the new edition was created as a tribute to the Gorkha Regiment and its long-standing values of bravery, loyalty and honour.

“Every detail stays true to the timeless character of the Classic 350, while the bespoke Gorkha insignia speaks of the values that have defined this regiment for generations,” Mr Guleria said. Lieutenant General Sanjeev Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, President, Gorkha Brigade, said the Gorkha Regiment’s legacy is built on courage, discipline and honour. He said the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition acknowledges the traditions and spirit of Gorkha soldiers.

The motorcycle is priced at ₹2,10,684 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), with bookings opening from August 18. Alongside the motorcycle, Royal Enfield has introduced the Gorkha Collection, a range of riding gear, apparel and lifestyle products inspired by the regiment. The collection includes dual-certified Jet and Quest helmets, high-ankle distressed leather boots, multifunctional headgear, apparel and collectibles.

The products use colours including regimental crimson, tactical olive green, matte black and warm bronze. Design details draw inspiration from military uniforms, regimental insignia and the crossed Khukri symbol. Hand-embroidered badges, heavyweight cotton twill and distressed leather are among the materials and detailing used across the collection.

Royal Enfield said the collection has been designed to combine everyday utility with the heritage associated with the Gorkha Regiment, extending the theme of the motorcycle beyond the riding experience. Royal Enfield is one of the world’s oldest motorcycle brands in continuous production, with a history dating back to 1901. The company established its manufacturing presence in India in 1955 and has since played a major role in developing the country’s mid-size motorcycle segment.

A division of Eicher Motors Limited, Royal Enfield has more than 2,100 retail outlets across India and nearly 1,200 stores in more than 80 countries. Its production facilities are located near Chennai, while the company also operates technical centres in the UK and India.

Royal Enfield’s current portfolio includes motorcycles across the 350cc, 450cc and 650cc segments, including the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and other models. The company has also entered electric mobility with the Flying Flea brand. The Classic 350 Gorkha Edition adds a heritage-focused model to the company’s portfolio while bringing together Royal Enfield’s established motorcycle design with a tribute to the Gorkha tradition.
