Jaya Hind Industries Pvt Ltd (JHI), a fully integrated manufacturer of precision aluminium die-cast components, has announced a phased investment of ₹600 crore over the next two years to expand its manufacturing capacity and strengthen capabilities in High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) and Gravity Die Casting (GDC).
The investment includes the previously announced ₹200 crore expansion at the Chennai facility and an additional ₹400 crore investment. The total investment will be deployed between FY2026-27 and FY2027-28 across JHI’s manufacturing locations in Akurdi and Urse in Pune and Chennai.
As part of the expansion, JHI will establish a new manufacturing facility in Chennai and install more than 12 new HPDC machines with capacities ranging from 1,200 tonnes to 3,500 tonnes. The company will also increase its precision machining capacity and expand in-house processes such as heat treatment, impregnation and powder coating.
A dedicated powder coating facility will enable JHI to offer surface finishing within its integrated manufacturing operations. The facility is expected to improve corrosion resistance, product durability and process control while reducing dependence on external processing.
Prasan Firodia, Managing Director, Jaya Hind Industries, said the company has consistently invested ahead of customer requirements. He said the growing demand for larger and more complex aluminium castings requires greater manufacturing scale, precision and reliability. The investment, he added, will strengthen JHI’s ability to support future customer programmes and build globally competitive manufacturing capabilities in India.
Established in 1946, Jaya Hind Industries began manufacturing aluminium die-cast components in 1964 and has since developed into an end-to-end supplier of aluminium casting solutions for automotive and non-automotive applications. The company has more than 45 HPDC machines ranging from 160 tonnes to 4,400 tonnes, including over 25 machines with capacities of 1,000 tonnes and above.
