Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited (KFIL), one of India’s leading manufacturers of castings and pig iron and a major player in steel and seamless tubes, has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company delivered steady revenue growth during the quarter, supported by strong demand across its castings and steel businesses despite a challenging business environment.

Standalone revenue for Q1 FY27 increased 4% year-on-year to ₹1,771.5 crore from ₹1,698.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Profit before tax, excluding exceptional items, rose 6% to ₹134.4 crore, while EBITDA remained largely stable at ₹215.7 crore with an EBITDA margin of 12.2%. Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹82.3 crore. The company noted that the previous year’s profit included exceptional items, making the comparison less meaningful.

The company’s castings business recorded an 18% growth in volumes during the quarter, driven by healthy demand from the automotive and precision engineering sectors. The steel business also delivered a strong performance, registering 13% volume growth. KFIL continued to strengthen its portfolio of value-added products while expanding its customer base in the seamless tubes business.

Commenting on the results, Mr. R. V. Gumaste, Managing Director, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited, said the company delivered resilient performance despite mixed market conditions. He said strong growth in castings and steel helped offset pressure from higher coking coal prices and softer demand in the tubes business. He added that the company remains focused on improving its product mix, expanding market reach and acquiring new customers.

Looking ahead, KFIL plans to continue executing its long-term growth strategy by improving operational efficiency, increasing the use of green energy and expanding manufacturing capabilities. The company believes these initiatives will strengthen its competitive position while creating sustainable value for customers and shareholders. KFIL also highlighted that the financial numbers have been restated following the merger of Oliver Engineering Private Limited and Adicca Energy Solutions Private Limited with the company.

Founded in 1991, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited is among India’s leading manufacturers of castings and pig iron, serving sectors such as automobiles, tractors, diesel engines and engineering. Following the integration of ISMT, the company has expanded its portfolio to include alloy steel and seamless tubes. With advanced manufacturing facilities, 3D printing capabilities and continuous investments in capacity expansion, KFIL is strengthening its position as a diversified engineering and materials company serving domestic and global markets.
