Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd, one of India’s leading solar energy companies and a Grade-A Tier-1 global solar module manufacturer, has introduced its enhanced N-Type Glass-to-Glass (G2G) Solar PV Modules, designed to deliver reliable performance in extreme weather conditions. Built to withstand harsh monsoons, heavy rainfall, high humidity and severe hailstorms, the new modules are aimed at improving the durability and long-term performance of solar power projects in India and international markets.

The latest modules have been developed to address the growing impact of changing weather patterns on solar installations. They have successfully qualified for 35 mm hail impact testing, exceeding the 25 mm hail resistance requirement specified under the IEC 61215:2021 standard. The products were tested at a NABL-approved IEC laboratory, where they demonstrated strong resistance to glass damage and microcracks caused by hail impact.

Kosol’s new modules are manufactured using thermally tempered high-strength solar glass that provides greater mechanical strength and impact resistance. Their dual-glass architecture offers improved protection against moisture, environmental stress and long-term degradation, helping maintain stable power generation over the life of the system.

The company has also incorporated higher GSM Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) encapsulation to provide additional protection to solar cells during transportation, thermal cycling, vibration and extreme weather events. This helps reduce mechanical stress and supports long-term reliability. High-transmission anti-reflective coated (ARC) glass further improves light absorption, enabling higher energy generation and improved conversion efficiency. The enhanced N-Type Glass-to-Glass modules have also completed three times the IEC qualification testing, confirming their ability to operate consistently under demanding environmental conditions.

Commenting on the launch, Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Managing Director, Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd, said, “As weather conditions become more unpredictable, the industry needs solar modules that combine high efficiency with long-term durability. Our enhanced N-Type Glass-to-Glass modules have been designed to deliver dependable performance in challenging environments while helping customers improve energy output and reduce maintenance costs. We remain committed to developing products that meet global quality standards and support the growing demand for clean energy.”

The new modules are available in 600 Wp, 620 Wp and 630 Wp variants and comply with IEC 61215:2021 standards. They are also offered in BIS-certified DCR configurations, including G12R and G12 models, supporting India’s domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
