RITES Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development and modernisation of logistics infrastructure across the country. Under the agreement, RITES will support CONCOR on a project-by-project basis, offering consultancy services from concept to commissioning. The scope of work includes feasibility studies, preparation of detailed project reports, engineering and architectural design, construction supervision, quality assurance and overall project management.

The partnership will focus on developing and upgrading multimodal logistics parks, inland container depots, rail-linked freight terminals, warehouses, railway infrastructure, administrative buildings, roads, utilities and other supporting facilities. The collaboration brings together the engineering and project management expertise of RITES with CONCOR’s extensive logistics network to improve freight infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency. The initiative is expected to accelerate the execution of infrastructure projects while strengthening India’s multimodal logistics ecosystem.

As freight movement continues to grow, investments in modern logistics facilities have become essential for reducing transportation costs, improving connectivity and supporting industrial growth. The partnership aims to deliver high-quality infrastructure that meets the evolving requirements of the logistics sector.

RITES, a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise, has more than five decades of experience in transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering. The company has executed projects across railways, highways, ports, airports and urban transport in India and more than 55 countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America, South America and the Middle East.

CONCOR, also a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, operates one of India’s largest container logistics networks. Through this collaboration, the two organisations will combine their strengths to deliver efficient, modern and sustainable logistics infrastructure that supports the country’s economic growth and the government’s vision of creating an integrated multimodal transport network.
