Swan Defence and Heavy Industries Limited (SDHI), in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Arogya Mandir Trust Hospital, Rajula, operated by Shri Ramkrushna Arogya Seva Trust, successfully organised a Multi-Speciality Medical Camp aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for residents of Rajula, Jafrabad and surrounding villages. The initiative brought a team of experienced medical professionals and specialists together under one platform, enabling local communities to receive expert consultations and essential healthcare services without the need to travel long distances. The camp was designed to address a broad spectrum of healthcare needs and promote greater awareness of preventive health practices among rural and semi-urban populations.

Specialists from General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Oncology and Neurology participated in the camp, providing comprehensive medical consultations and evaluations. A range of healthcare services was made available, including general health screenings, diagnostic assessments, cataract detection and surgical referrals, medicine distribution, vision testing and healthcare counselling.

As part of the eye care services offered during the programme, eligible patients received free near-vision spectacles to support improved eyesight and enhance their quality of life. Medical teams also conducted awareness sessions on preventive healthcare, encouraging participants to seek timely diagnosis and treatment for common and chronic health conditions.

The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the local community, with approximately 800 individuals availing themselves of the various medical services provided. The strong participation highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare initiatives in regions where specialised medical facilities may not always be readily available.

Commenting on the initiative, a spokesperson for SDHI said, “Access to quality healthcare is an essential component of community development and well-being. Through this medical camp, we sought to bring specialised healthcare services closer to people who may face challenges in accessing such facilities. The overwhelming response from residents reinforces the value of these initiatives in promoting health awareness and early intervention. We thank our healthcare partners, medical professionals and volunteers whose efforts helped make the programme successful.”

The medical camp forms part of SDHI’s broader commitment to community development and social responsibility. The company continues to undertake initiatives focused on healthcare, education, skill development and social welfare across the regions where it operates.

By facilitating access to specialised healthcare services and encouraging preventive health practices, SDHI aims to contribute to healthier communities and support long-term social development. The company remains committed to working with local institutions and healthcare partners to create meaningful and lasting impact through community-focused programmes.
