Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has expanded its product lineup with the launch of the new Reo VYB, an electric scooter developed for daily urban transportation. Designed for first-time EV buyers, students, working professionals, and family users, the scooter aims to deliver a practical, economical, and dependable mobility solution for short-distance commuting.
Introduced at an attractive price of ₹69,499, the Reo VYB strengthens Ampere’s presence in the entry-level electric vehicle segment. The launch comes at a time when electric mobility adoption is accelerating across India, particularly in Tier II and Tier III cities where consumers are increasingly seeking cost-effective alternatives to conventional fuel-powered vehicles.
The scooter is powered by a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery, a technology widely recognized for its thermal stability, durability, and safety. Ampere has equipped the Reo VYB with a battery system designed to deliver a riding range of up to 80 kilometres on a single charge while offering an operational life of up to 100,000 kilometres. The scooter has a top speed of 25 kmph, making it suitable for daily urban travel and short-distance errands.
The Reo VYB features a refreshed design language and is available in four colour options: Warm White, Pastel Purple, Dark Grey, and Aqua Metallic. The scooter offers 24 litres of under-seat storage, allowing riders to conveniently carry personal belongings, groceries, or daily essentials.
Additional features include a colour LCD digital instrument cluster, premium key fob with keyless start functionality, LED headlamp and tail lamp, front disc brake, telescopic front suspension, rear shock absorber, and rider footrest. Together, these features are designed to enhance comfort, convenience, and overall riding experience.
Ampere’s nationwide service network supports the ownership experience through more than 400 service touchpoints and dedicated customer assistance. The scooter is backed by a three-year or 30,000-kilometre warranty, underscoring the company’s focus on product quality and customer confidence.
