Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), India’s largest integrated transport operator, has expanded its strategic partnership with global technology provider Kaleris to strengthen digital capabilities across its ports and logistics ecosystem. The multi-year agreement forms a key component of APSEZ’s long-term growth strategy as the company advances towards its target of handling one billion tonnes of cargo annually by 2030 while investing significantly in technology modernization and sustainability initiatives.

Under the expanded engagement, Kaleris will deploy its terminal operating platform and advanced optimization solutions across 15 APSEZ container terminals located at nine domestic and international ports. The rollout builds upon the successful implementation completed during the first phase across six ports and will create a unified digital framework designed to enhance operational consistency, planning accuracy, automation, and network-wide visibility.

As global trade volumes continue to rise and supply chains become increasingly interconnected, APSEZ is investing in advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), computer vision, and data-driven optimization systems. These capabilities are expected to improve resource allocation, enable faster decision-making, and provide customers with greater transparency across cargo movement and logistics operations.

The deployment is expected to deliver measurable operational benefits across APSEZ’s network. Advanced optimization tools are projected to enhance Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) crane productivity by up to 20 percent while improving terminal truck productivity by as much as 14 percent. These gains are expected to contribute to faster vessel turnaround times, improved yard utilization, and more predictable cargo handling performance.

Commenting on the development, Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director and Chief Executive Officer of APSEZ, said, “Technology-led transformation remains central to our long-term vision. We have already established an integrated digital platform that connects cargo movement from origin to destination through real-time visibility and centralized command capabilities. Expanding our partnership with Kaleris will further strengthen productivity, operational efficiency, and customer experience across our network.”

Kirk Knauff, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kaleris, added, “APSEZ is demonstrating how advanced digital technologies can transform port operations at scale. The expansion of our solutions across all container terminals reflects the strong results achieved during the initial phase and provides an opportunity to further improve efficiency and operational performance throughout the network.”

APSEZ currently operates a cargo handling capacity of 653 million tonnes per annum and manages approximately 27 percent of India’s total port volumes. Its integrated logistics platform spans ports, rail transportation, multimodal logistics parks, warehousing facilities, trucking operations and international freight services. The company’s continued investments in digital innovation are designed to support future growth while creating a more efficient, connected and resilient logistics ecosystem for customers across global trade corridors.

APSEZ, part of the Adani Group, is India’s largest integrated transport operator, providing end-to-end logistics solutions across ports, shipping, rail, warehousing, logistics parks and road transportation. The company operates 15 ports and terminals in India and four international ports while serving customers through a comprehensive shore-to-door logistics platform supported by advanced digital infrastructure.
