Smarten Power Systems, a leading Indian provider of power backup and solar energy solutions, has launched its latest MPPT Solar PCU range, HELIX 1100–1250, aimed at accelerating solar energy adoption among residential consumers and rural households. The new series, introduced at a starting price of ₹5,350, marks the company’s eighth product platform following the success of its earlier Helio, Superb, Trendy, Kranti, SAVER, SHINE and BOOM series.
The HELIX series has been developed to offer efficient solar power utilization, dependable backup performance and lower installation costs for users seeking economical renewable energy solutions. Available across India through Smarten’s expanding distribution network, the company expects strong demand from both homeowners and solar installers.
The range consists of two models — HELIX 1100 and HELIX 1250 — both operating on a 12V architecture while supporting different solar capacities. The HELIX 1100 supports up to 600W solar input, while the HELIX 1250 can handle up to 1200W solar capacity, making it suitable for larger residential loads and higher energy generation requirements.
Both models are built using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology, enabling improved solar conversion efficiency compared to traditional PWM-based systems. One of the major highlights of the new platform is its ability to support 24V solar panels while operating on a 12V system. This allows users to use widely available and cost-effective 24V panels without requiring a higher voltage architecture, thereby reducing overall installation expenses.
The HELIX series is equipped with pure sine wave output to ensure stable power delivery for household appliances and sensitive electronic devices. It also features a fast UPS mode changeover time of less than 10 milliseconds to maintain uninterrupted power supply during grid fluctuations.
The system integrates intelligent solar-grid-battery power sharing technology that automatically prioritizes solar energy consumption while balancing grid support when required. Additional configurable battery management controls help optimize charging cycles and improve long-term battery health.
Speaking about the launch, Rajnish Sharma, Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of Smarten, said the company designed the HELIX range to address major consumer concerns including high installation costs, energy losses and inconsistent backup performance. He added that the platform combines advanced MPPT efficiency, smart energy management and economical solar compatibility in a compact wall-mounted system suitable for modern households and rural communities.
The HELIX range supports lithium-ion, SMF and tubular batteries and includes dedicated lithium charging profiles for improved compatibility with modern energy storage systems. The products also feature deep discharge recovery technology aimed at extending battery life and improving reliability.
To enhance safety and usability, the systems include a graphical LCD display showing real-time operating parameters, along with protections against overload, short circuit, overheating, reverse polarity and wiring faults.
