Information Services Group has launched a new research study focused on evaluating supply chain service providers that are helping enterprises modernize operations through artificial intelligence, intelligent orchestration, automation, and resilience-focused strategies. The study, announced by the global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm, will examine how service providers are supporting organizations in transforming supply chain operations amid increasing economic uncertainty, geopolitical disruption, regulatory complexity, and rapid advances in AI technologies.

The findings will be published in a series of ISG Provider Lens reports titled “Supply Chain Services,” scheduled for release in September 2026. The reports will assess providers offering capabilities across supply chain modernization, intelligent orchestration, control tower services, risk management, compliance, and operational resilience.

According to ISG, enterprises across industries are increasingly rethinking supply chains as integrated and intelligent ecosystems capable of adapting in real time to disruptions and changing market conditions. Organizations are prioritizing visibility, continuity, and decision-making capabilities across complex global partner networks and multi-tier supplier ecosystems.

Namratha Dharshan said enterprises are moving toward coordinated and AI-driven operating models designed to improve agility and strengthen operational resilience. She noted that service providers with expertise in AI-powered modernization, orchestration technologies, and risk management are becoming increasingly important strategic partners for organizations looking to build responsive and future-ready supply chain systems.

As part of the study, ISG has distributed surveys to more than 90 supply chain service providers globally. In collaboration with its advisory teams, the company will evaluate the competitive landscape and categorize providers across three strategic areas that reflect current enterprise priorities.

The first category, Supply Chain Operations Modernization Services, will assess providers that help redesign supply chain processes, data structures, planning systems, sourcing models, manufacturing operations, logistics, and after-sales capabilities. The second category, Intelligent Supply Chain Orchestration and Control Tower Services, will evaluate providers offering AI-enabled coordination across inventory, logistics, planning, and partner ecosystems to improve real-time operational visibility and automation.

The third category, Supply Chain Risk, Resilience and Compliance Services, will focus on providers supporting enterprises in identifying, managing, and mitigating risks while maintaining regulatory compliance and long-term continuity across supply networks. The research will include both global and Brazil-focused assessments of the supply chain services market. ISG analysts Sidney Nobre and Tarun Nathooram Vaid will author the reports covering Brazil and global markets respectively.
