HCLTech and Pegasystems Inc  have announced an expanded collaboration aimed at helping enterprises modernize legacy technology systems through artificial intelligence-powered automation and cloud-native application transformation. The partnership combines HCLTech AI Force with Pega Blueprint to support organizations in transforming outdated systems into agile, AI-enabled applications built on the Pega platform. The initiative is designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce technical debt, and accelerate digital transformation for enterprises operating across complex technology environments.

The collaboration comes as businesses worldwide continue to face rising costs and operational challenges associated with maintaining fragmented legacy systems that limit innovation, scalability, and business agility. According to the companies, the integrated solution uses generative AI and agentic automation technologies to streamline the discovery, documentation, and modernization of legacy applications. The platform automates large portions of the transformation process, reducing manual effort and accelerating deployment timelines.

The modernization framework is designed not only to migrate existing systems but also to enable organizations to retire legacy technology estates entirely by creating future-ready application architectures, intelligent workflows, and migration-ready data structures. The solution also incorporates industry-specific expertise from both HCLTech and Pegasystems, enabling enterprises to tailor modernization strategies based on sector-specific operational requirements and regulatory needs.

Sadagopan Singam, EVP and Global Head of Enterprise Platforms and Edge Services, Digital Business Services at HCLTech, said the expanded partnership reflects the company’s commitment to driving AI-led enterprise transformation with minimal disruption to business operations. He stated that combining HCLTech AI Force with Pega Blueprint enables faster, smarter, and more accurate modernization of enterprise systems while helping organizations achieve measurable business outcomes.

John Higgins said enterprises are increasingly seeking scalable and resilient modernization strategies that maintain security, transparency, and operational continuity. He noted that the collaboration with HCLTech will help clients accelerate workflow modernization while improving quality and business efficiency. The joint solution also supports rapid cloud adoption by enabling faster deployment of modern applications on the Pega platform. Companies are expected to benefit from continuous optimization capabilities, AI-driven process improvements, and greater flexibility in responding to changing business requirements.
