SANY concluded its 2026 Global Mining Summit in Xi’an, bringing together more than 700 mining industry leaders, customers and technology experts from around the world to discuss the future of intelligent and sustainable mining operations. The summit highlighted SANY’s latest advancements in smart mining technologies, electrification and integrated energy solutions designed to support the global transition toward greener and more efficient mining infrastructure.
During the event, SANY secured intended orders valued at more than RMB 10 billion, while signed agreements exceeded RMB 5 billion, reflecting growing international demand for intelligent and low-carbon mining equipment solutions. A major highlight of the summit was the unveiling of SANY’s comprehensive lineup of large mining trucks, including the launch of the new SRT100S hybrid mining truck. Positioned as a benchmark in the 100-ton-class category, the truck has been developed to perform in demanding mining environments while improving operational efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
The SRT100S features a hybrid direct-drive system and high-torque motor that increase overall efficiency by approximately 10 percent. Designed for challenging terrain, the truck can achieve speeds of up to 50 kilometres per hour and offers 30 percent gradeability under full load conditions. The model also incorporates a dual-engine range extender, advanced battery technology and intelligent energy management systems, helping operators reduce energy costs by nearly 20 percent.
SANY also showcased its progress in electric and hybrid mining solutions. The company currently holds more than 35 percent of the global market for large-tonnage electric mining trucks. Hybrid models such as the SET240S and SET150S are already operating in major mining projects worldwide, delivering fuel savings between 10 and 20 percent while lowering maintenance costs by up to 30 percent.
In addition to equipment innovation, SANY demonstrated its integrated Smart Mining Solution, combining autonomous driving systems, cloud-based dispatching, remote operation capabilities and real-time data management. The showcase included the SKT145Ei, SANY’s first autonomous pure electric mining truck capable of supporting both on-site and remote-controlled operations.
SANY’s intelligent mining systems are currently deployed in more than 20 large open-pit mines globally and manage over 5,000 intelligent machines. The technologies are designed to improve operational safety, productivity and efficiency while supporting lower-carbon mining operations.
The company also presented its integrated “Generation-Grid-Load-Storage” solution, which combines clean energy technologies, mining equipment and lifecycle service support into a unified ecosystem. The summit reinforced SANY’s commitment to advancing intelligent, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable mining solutions as the industry moves toward a more resilient and low-carbon future.
