Greaves Cotton Limited has announced the appointment of Vinay Pawar as Group Chief Technology Officer (GCTO), effective May 4, 2026. Based in Pune, he will lead the company’s technology strategy and innovation roadmap as it advances its transformation agenda.
In his new role, Mr Pawar will be responsible for shaping the Group’s technology vision, accelerating product and platform innovation, and strengthening digital and future-ready capabilities. He will also spearhead the development of emerging business areas, including e-powertrain technologies and next-generation mobility solutions.
Welcoming the appointment, Parag Satpute, Managing Director and Group CEO, said the company’s growth journey is anchored in strengthening core operations while building new capabilities for the future. He noted that technology and innovation are central to this strategy, and Mr Pawar’s experience in automotive electronics, connected technologies, and mobility solutions positions him to lead this transformation.
Mr Pawar brings close to three decades of experience across automotive electronics, industrial automation, embedded systems, and connected mobility. Prior to joining Greaves Cotton, he was associated with Spark Minda Group, where he held senior leadership roles spanning business and technology functions.
Over the course of his career, he has also worked with global organisations such as KPIT Technologies, Continental Automotive, Bosch, and ABB, contributing to advanced engineering programs across India and Europe. He holds a degree in Instrumentation Engineering, an MBA in Technology Management, and has completed advanced studies in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
