- ITI Cuttack & IG Drones continue partnership highlighting the global perspective surrounding the manufacturing of drones at the prestigious institution of Government ITI, Cuttack
- With a collaborative effort by students, faculties and IG Drones Team, ITI Cuttack has garnered the manufacturing status of drones using advanced technologies
ITI Cuttack is showcasing exemplary initiatives, which can be followed by many technical institutions in India. Within a couple of months of collaborating with IG Drones, a young technology company manufacturing Drones, ITI Cuttack was able to develop Delta 400 series Drones, which is now ready to get deployed at the mines of Odisha Mines Corporation. The drones can be deployed in the diversified needs of the industry.

IG DRONES Delta 400 series is currently being manufactured at the premier institute to cater for the needs of the various use cases of the industry. It boasts an endurance of more than three hours in the air along with PPK/ RTK Technology in place. It houses a high-resolution RGB Camera to capture the maximum details for the mission.
Commenting about the development Board Member of IG Drones Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra said, “IG Drones Delta 400 manufactured at Govt ITI Cuttack is ready to be deployed in Odisha Mining Corporation Mines. The Drone can be airborne for 3hrs+ for surveying and mapping with accuracy in sub centimetre level.” Mr Mohapatra played a very important role in IG Drones collaboration with the model ITI Cuttack.
The drone manufactured at ITI Cuttack is to be deployed for a mining survey for Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC). With each passing day, the hazards of the manual survey in the mining areas are increasing by several folds and the field of mining occupies a major section of the country’s economy hence to save human lives it is highly important to adapt drone for surveys.

IG Drones is a major player in India in providing a unique and innovative solution for carrying out the mapping and surveying of mines in the most effective way. “Huge corporations like Amazon and Google are testing ways to deliver packages with drones but we are not only making the industry use the advanced drone technology but also upskilling the youth in the same and are thankful to Dr Hrusikesh Mohanty, Principal ITI Cuttack for collaborating with us,” said by CEO and Co-Founder Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya.
This drone has various use cases ranging from Border Patrolling to Forest Fire Monitoring. It also plays a crucial role in Industrial Inspection, Bridge Inspection, Flood Mitigation etc. This will mark a starting of an era that will feature the alignment of the highly skilled students manufacturing drones using modern technology & public safety.
The MoU was signed between Reghu G IAS, Director, Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTET) Odisha and Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra, Head Skill Development and Board Member, IG Drones to work closely with Skilled in Odisha to empower the youth with advanced technology.

Talking about the industry-academia collaboration with IG Drones, Dr Hrusikesh Mohanty, Principal of ITI Cuttack said that the partnership is helping the institute to educate and offer hands-on first-hand training to their aspiring young students. “The advanced technology brought by IG Drones will help our students getting nurtured at Cuttack ITI to align with the Industrial Revolution 4.0. It will enable us to deliver content from the very heart of skilled centre to all corners of India and across the oceans”, said Dr Mohanty.
Skilled in Odisha & Make in Odisha are two major initiatives undertaken by the Government of Odisha by Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, in creating Odisha a skilled hub to be recognized across the globe. The achievement made by ITI Cuttack by developing a drone will help the state’s mission of creating a brand of indigeneity. This is anticipated to be a huge success in the path of initiatives that is making Odisha proud in placing it once again on top of the skilled map.
