Phillips Machine Tools joins hands with Machine Maker to promote #EmbraceEquity in manufacturing

In association with Machine Maker, Phillips Machine Tools, one of the prominent names in the machine tool industry, is pleased to announce their joint initiative, ‘Embrace Equity for Manufacturing Excellence.’ This one-of-a-kind event is to celebrate and promote inclusiveness in manufacturing. On March 8th, 2023, International Women’s Day, a Digital Edition will be launched featuring inspiring stories of 8 strong women who led their profession by setting the correct examples to embrace equity in the workplace.

On March 8th, 2022, Shubhra Miranda, Director of Phillips Machine Tools, launched the inaugural edition of Manufacturing & Beyond. This edition featured eight women who contributed significantly to the Indian manufacturing industry, inspiring other women to join the sector. Continuing the legacy and aligning with the theme of International Women’s Day 2023 of #EmbraceEquity, Phillips Machine Tools, in association with Machine Maker, will bring the second edition to promote equity for inclusiveness in the manufacturing sector.

This year, Phillips Machine Tools, supporting the theme, will feature eight women from across manufacturing who are ideals of solidarity, equity, and inclusiveness with the topic EMBRACE EQUITY FOR MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE. These stories are made possible by themselves and their allies who believe in creating and fostering an inclusive work culture because gender equality is not enough! Manufacturing, globally and especially in India, is one sector where workplace inclusivity seems a distant dream. It is essential to walk the path of equity, to bring gender equality. Phillips Machine Tools, therefore, is dedicated to embracing equity in the manufacturing sector, and its belief is unconditional.

This event will be the second edition, where Phillips Machine Tools & Machine Maker will be organizing an initiative to bring the spotlight on women entrepreneurs in the manufacturing sector. This celebration is a crucial step towards recognizing and celebrating not only women leaders but the companies and the associates who are champions in embracing equity, thus contributing towards a greater social cause. With technology, creating an inclusive workforce without bias and divisions is possible, and this initiative remains an exemplar of this mission.

To ensure that interested parties can access the magazine, it is now possible to pre-book a copy, and the pre-booking starts from February 25th onwards. This digital magazine edition will provide valuable insights into ‘Why Equality is not enough, anymore!’ with real-life stories and examples of these eight women and their evolution towards an equity-centric mindset.

This initiative aligns with Phillips Machine Tools’ commitment to diversity, inclusion, and gender equity. As a result, Phillips Machine Tools and Machine Maker invite all stakeholders in the field of manufacturing and technology to join the campaign, share their insights and feedback on this year’s theme, and participate in the social media hashtag #EmbraceEquity.
