Huaheng Automation Private Limited is the subsidiary of Kunshan Huaheng Welding of China and is led by Asha Rochani as the Director. Asha Rochani is associated with Huaheng for more than 5 years now and has been leading the company as a director for the last 4 years. To be able to smoothly operate the company Ms. Rochani has endeavored to earn the skills of multi-tasking and leadership.
Asha Rochani is the Director of Huaheng Automation Private Limited, a subsidiary of Kunshan Huaheng Welding of China. The Indian entity was incorporated in 2015 and is based in Vadodara in Gujarat. Huaheng is one of the leaders in welding and cutting systems besides being a one-stop solution for all MS and SS applications irrespective of the industry where it is used. They also have an auto welding build, a good product for the oil & gas, petrochemicals, boiler & heat exchanger, offshore, shipbuilding, nuclear energy, power generation, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, high-pressure vessel, semiconductor, dairy, engineering construction, locomotive, mining, defense, construction equipment and so on in India & across the globe.
Huaheng has a training & service center and churns out products of good quality and performance at efficient prices for customers in India. A while back its Chairman Xu Xujiong of Kunshan Huaheng in China had ventured into India to set up its branch in Gujarat. Prior to that, the company had collaborated with L&T Ewac to promote its products in India. To strengthen its presence in India, Huaheng mandated that its plant in India supply products and services across the nation.
Huaheng Automation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kunshan Huaheng Welding Co. Ltd. that is headquartered in Kunshan (China) and is one of the global leaders in welding solutions that is renowned for Automatic Welding System, Automatic Welding Machines, Auto Welding Stations to name some. The company specializes in engineering, fabrication, assembling, marketing & servicing of welding & cutting equipment and systems and storage & logistic automation solutions. Going forward, among its comprehensive solutions, the ones that truly stand out are fusion welding machines, tube sheet welding machines, procut CNC cutting systems, robotic system equipment gantries (X, Y, Z), 3*3 column & boom plasma systems, intelligent stores, longitudinal welding systems, and longitudinal welding seam systems.

Prevailing Misfortunes to Reach Heights
Asha Rochani completed her Bachelors in Commerce in 2001 and later pursued her Master in Business Administration and Masters of Social Work from India’s renowned Indira Gandhi National Open University in 2012 while working as a Senior Executive in the HR Department of You Broadband Limited. While she started her career as a receptionist, going ahead more job changes followed that saw her join Huaheng Automation as an HR Manager in December 2016. Excelling at her work, she was promoted to Operation Manager in under a year. In a matter of months, she was appointed the Executive Director of Huaheng Automation and continues in that position while taking the organization to newer heights.
On the personal front, Asha was the second of the 3 children of her parents. Her elder sister is a teacher, and the younger is a doctor. Ms. Rochani’s family lost her father to the pandemic in September 2021.
Asha’s has been a story of grit, determination, and sheer hard work. Circumstances forced her to take up a job immediately after her graduation to support the family financially. Misfortunes didn’t stop there. She met with an accident that caused her short-term memory loss that continues into the present. But what misfortunes couldn’t do to her and in fact did the opposite was to power her hunger to do better and to grow higher, something she has consistently done for the last quarter of a century.
Going through ups and downs in her life, Ms. Asha learned one important lesson. That she needed to be a multi-tasker, and that just one set of talents wouldn’t suffice during tough times.
To this end, she has gone through many stages and job profiles starting from being a receptionist, administration, accounts, HR, and today leading the company from the front as its director. As she says, “Life is an art, Challenge is an art!”
During her stint at Window Maker, an IT company, the realization dawned on her that she wasn’t made for the IT sector but instead for manufacturing. This brought her to the doorstep of Huaheng as HR Manager and the rest is history. According to her what truly inspired her to excel was a chance meeting with the Board of Directors as an HR Manager. A woman who has seen it all, and yet climbed to the heights of success, Asha believes in the philosophy of giving back to society. To this end, she tries to spend every waking hour on woman’s empowerment.
Recognitions and Awards
Ms. Rochani’s efforts and skills have been recognized by people around her and have been awarded by YOU Broadband & Cable (I) Limited for successfully completing the recruitment of the Sales Force Team before the timeline in 2013. She has also been awarded in the year 2014, from Focus -Abengoa Foundation under the category of Professional Development.
Issued by the Women Economic Forum (WEF) in April 2019, Asha was awarded as the Iconic Leader in creating a Better World for All in association with Huaheng Automation Private Limited. The Women Economic Forum 2019 happened in Gurugram, Delhi from 20th to 22nd December 2019, on the theme “Corporate Wellness and Wellbeing: Transforming Leadership” with the belief that women supporting one another raises them up collectively and channels the power of collaboration which is indeed how one change the spiraling equation.
A year before in 2018, she was also awarded the Inspiring Leader of the Year 2018 which was issued by the 3rd Future Women Leader Summit and Award. She received the Transformance Forum for conferring me the ‘The Inspiring Leader of the Year 2018 @ 3rdFuture Women Leader Summit and Award’ 2018 at Mumbai.
Inspiring Women in Manufacturing
A woman in manufacturing, and leading from the front has been a huge challenge in India’s male-dominated mindset. Yet, as a leader, Asha has grown to believe, that it’s always skilled and not gender that matter, and holds no bias toward gender in any roles. That said, she does look forward to more women being employed on the shop floor for all kinds of machine operations. “I would like to see a world of manufacturing in the future, where we all thrive to see women contribute to the sector. Women can and have overcome various challenges and manufacturing is not any different for them” says she hoping for women to consider the manufacturing sector as a great career option.
For Asha, the company survived the pandemic and is gearing up to grow more is one of her biggest accomplishments in her career. She further said, “If my words touch at least one life out there and influence them to lead a change, I must say that’s my success. I hope to see more women stepping into this sector and breaking the myths.”
In conclusion, Asha mentions that her success mantra in life is to be happy and hopeful while making efforts towards a goal. Speaking of being hopeful, Asha in India means just that! According to her, everyone should keep putting in efforts in the hope of results, success, and growth, and never stop come what may.
