Furnteck Engineering: Fueling Progress Towards a Greener Tomorrow

With the vision to offer world class highly energy efficient furnaces as an import substitute to the Indian manufacturers, Suresh Vispute founded Furnteck Engineering twenty-five years ago. At the GIFA 2023 exhibition in Dusseldorf, Germany, Furnteck showcased its latest advancements in the world of industrial furnaces. With an impressive track record spanning close to thirty years, Furnteck has solidified its position as a prominent engineering and design company, driven to realize its mission of ‘Helping the Industry Reduce Carbon Footprint for a Better Tomorrow’. At GIFA 2023, the company’s participation, amongst the best of the best in the furnace industry, left an astounding mark on the visitors, industry experts and manufacturing enthusiasts who came from across the world.

Ever since its establishment in 1994, Furnteck has consistently held a leading position in the field of energy-efficient furnaces. A notable milestone in the company’s history was the successful introduction of the Tower/ Stack melting technology for aluminum melting in 2000-2001. This groundbreaking technology was entirely manufactured in India, making Furnteck the first company in India to provide such a solution successfully in the domestic market.

At GIFA 2023, Suresh Vispute, Managing Director, Furnteck Engineers shared the overall journey of their company and how it entered the automobile industry, “Initially the foundry people were not aware of the latest technologies for the melting and they were working with the conventional furnaces which were not only increasing their production cost but also adding up to their energy losses. And that’s why we thought of customizing the furnaces for the automotive industry as it was very competitive and booming in that period. I am very happy that we got a very good response from our customers. And it’s a two way thing, They get benefited and even we get our business. It’s a win-win for both the parties involved.”

Furnteck’s Future-ready Furnaces at GIFA

At GIFA 2023, Furnteck Engineers’ exhibited products garnered attention for their innovative designs, energy efficiency, and commitment to delivering superior metal quality. The company showcased various types of energy efficient furnaces suitable for every industry, especially the automobile industry. The ECOMELT series furnaces offered by Furnteck Engineers are designed to significantly reduce energy consumption and minimize melt loss, leading to substantial cost savings for aluminum manufacturers. With energy efficiency improvements of up to 50% compared to traditional furnace types, the ECOMELT furnace delivers better metal quality while reducing emissions.

The Tower Furnace – Direct Baleout Type, engineered for exceptional energy efficiency and seamless integration with casting machines, was the center of attraction at the Furnteck stall. The auto-ladle of pressure die casting machines can be utilized for efficient baleout, ensuring a streamlined production process. For gravity die casting units, manual baleout is also available if required. The company also presented the Reverberatory Furnace, ideal for HPDC and GDC shops, the Reverberatory Furnace is specifically designed for situations where frequent alloy changes are unavoidable. These batch-type furnaces, while incurring higher energy losses through flue gasses, serve as reliable solutions when continuous production is not possible or when melting several alloys is required.

“We have been working very hard to diversify our product range so that we can be in a better position to offer our customer a wide variety of solutions and customize according to their requirements. I would categorize our offerings as Foundry Equipment, which includes Foundry furnaces for melting and holding purposes. In addition to these, we also have heat treatment furnaces in our product range. Moreover, we provide various accessories to complement the foundry processes. These accessories include ladder preheaters, degassing machines, recycling systems with filter boxes, inline degassing systems, and Ingot casting canvas”, adds Girish Vispute while talking about the company’s product range.

Furnteck’s participation in the GIFA 2023, and the products they exhibited which not only reduces the financial burden of manufacturing companies related to fuelings but also contributes in keeping the environment clean adhering to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the industry. Adhering to their mission of ‘Helping the Industry Reduce Carbon Footprint for a Better Tomorrow’, the company is making huge strides towards a more sustainable, eco-friendly and pollution-free tomorrow.
