With a robust commitment towards promoting sustainable mobility, TATA Motors deployed 60 state-of-art Ultra Urban 9/9 electric buses to Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL).
Known to the transportation industry by the name of “Tata Ultra Urban 9/9 buses,” Gujarat Chief Miniter Bhupendra Patel and Ahmedabad Mayor Kiritkumar Parmar, flagged off the buses from Sabarmati River Front Event Center, Ahmedabad
Supplied under the FAME II policy via Gross Cost Contract with AJL, the 24-seater buses possess excellent quality zero-emission. The buses are expected to run soon on Ahmedabad’s Bus Rapid Transit System (BTRS) corridor.
The event by government, AJL, and Tata Motors officials. empowered with full-electric drivetrains, the Ultra Urban 9/9 buses have a maximum power of 328 hp with a torque of 3,000 Nm.
The electric buses are also endowed with roomy interior design with the adjustable plush interior lighting which can be set as per the customer’s convenience.
The buses, along with providing a fatigue-free driving experience without clutch and gear shifting are also equipped with the regenerative braking system, new-generation telematics, and high-security intelligent transport system.
In addition to this, Tata Motors is forging ahead to set up the requisite charging infrastructure to support the clean mobility ecosystem which public transportation is foreseen to witness.

The new buses joining the fleet will serve the newly developing areas of Ahmedabad and the new airport route. Offering a comfortable travel experience for the passengers, the buses are ensuring clean and green mobility for the residents in the city.
