Machine Maker met with the young and dynamic Kedar Dalavi during the recently concluded Mahatech Exhibition at Pune, where he showcased innovative innovations for the growing Electric Vehicle market.
Kedar Dalavi is the co-founder of Gaatha Industries, a start-up organization from Pune. Talking with Machine Maker, introducing his start-up Gaatha Industries Kedar Dalavi, said, ”We have started up this Gaatha Industries where we have launched our product as Bharat Fast Charge related to the electric vehicle charging station. Our journey started on January 1st 2022 this year. We have collaborated with i-elektrik for manufacturing.”
Kedar Dalavi shared his innovative journey with the team of Machine Maker, “Actually, I was previously working for Tata Sky broadband when I started for other start-up services which are – Gaatha Telecom Services which was related to Telecom Services. At that time, the Covid was going on and a lot of businesses suffered a hard hit. Almost all got closed. After a moment when offices opened up and people started to move down to offices, I thought this would be the right time to start up. So, decided to quit my job and start my startup. First of all, we are associated with Tata Sky Broadband, ATC, Ekaga and many others. And this year in January we started with electric vehicles charger.”
Speculating, the high market demand for electric vehicle cars in the present technological era, “Bharat EV Chargers” have been designed and manufactured. Commenting about the product Kedar Dalavi said “It a highly competent smart product accounting for one’s needs. Currently, the manufacturing facility is based in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. We brand it with our name and we sell it. Right now, we are trading and later on, we are going into manufacturing also.”
While briefing about the product, the founder of Bharat Fast Charge remarked “The EV chargers condense a nifty charging solution. Yes, indeed this is totally our innovation and a unique product. We have Hybrid Type 2 of Ac charger which works for 2/3/4 wheelers at a time. No one has currently got this type of product in India. We can install it anywhere, any society, any parking slot, any shopping mall, hotel as well as a restaurant. And comparable to DC chargers this is more cost-effective.”
In the interview session, Kedar Dalavi also shared his experience with the team of Machine Maker about the opportunity to showcase Bharat EV chargers in one of the EV charger exhibitions which was held in January 2022 in Delhi, as well as at the recently concluded Mahatech exhibition at Pune. He explains, “It was the right place to meet our customers. Since many people are still freaky about electric vehicles. But after this Mahatech exhibition, we are getting a good response.”

It can be used by all AC Type 2 Charger compatible vehicles with a power output range of 7.4kW, 10kW, and 22kW, thus meeting the market needs. The OCPP interface allows direct communication with the operation centre and real-time monitoring of charging data.
While the DC charger comes with industry-standard fast charging capabilities for supporting next-generation electric vehicles. CHAdeMO and CCS support is included in this multi-protocol charger. The seamless integration with various payment and billing platforms allows secure and easy payments via smartphone and/or RFID card. The DC charger charges the EV battery from 20-80% within 90 minutes. OCPP Controllers act as channels that handle communication and integration between the vehicle and charging station.
Bharat EV AC Charges
Bharat EV AC Chargers come with exclusive features like triple-phase, a unique design for high visibility, handy, small in size, strong, hard-wearing, safe and instinctual for owners to use. This particular product supports an output range of 7.4kW and it charges any four-wheeler vehicle within 4 hours.
Besides, the Bharat AC chargers come with 3.3kW chargers with the capacity to charge two-wheelers and three-wheelers within 2-3 hours of time. It also comes with authentication facilities like RFID cards and mobile apps. Other than this, the product has a 4.3” interactive LCD and a unique design for high visibility. The AC Hybrid chargers can be installed easily in any residential place, service stations and public places like shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, and office buildings.
Whereas EV DC chargers offer owner’s features like fast charging, easy to install and operate 1.6v OCPP protocol upgradable up to 2.0v, supporting output range of 15kW to 240kW, emergency pull button, etc. Kedar Dalavi explains the objective behind designing the DC charger system. “The DC chargers are designed with a goal to specifically facilitate charging electric vehicles in public places, highway stations, fleet operations and EV service stations.”
Lastly, communication and functionality managed by the OCPP, operate as a channel between the vehicle and the charging station. The OCPP controller includes fast charging and multimedia features. The OCPP Controllers are used for EV charging network endpoint key management and exchange, they come with facilities like secure boot and protected download, ecosystem control and anti-cloning, etc.

At the end of the interview session, Kedar Dalavi conveyed his message to all the users of EV chargers. He says, “The Bharat EV chargers can be a second passive source of income for its users. It will support its users to earn superfluous money by installing it in their apartments, housing societies and even in public places. It’s really calm to install and innocuous to operate.”
