Witmans Advanced Fluids Pvt Ltd (WAF), one of the prominent players in India’s lubricant manufacturing sector, is gearing up for participation in the highly anticipated MOLDEX India 2024 exhibition in Bangalore. MOLDEX India 2024, organized by Messe Stuttgart India, is a significant event in the metalworking and plastic molding industries, drawing attention from professionals and experts alike.
Founded in 1989, Witmans Advanced Fluids Pvt Ltd stands as a prominent ISO 9001:2008 certified lubricant manufacturing company in India. Guided by the contributions of its major promoters, Ravi Saini and Rajendra Saini, Witmans has cultivated a legacy of ethical business standards and innovation. The brand is renowned for its dynamic and inventive solutions in the realms of lubricants, industrial paints, water treatments, and cutting tools.
In an exclusive discussion with Machine Maker, Santosh Chakraborty, the Managing Director of Witmans Advanced Fluids, sheds light on the company’s participation in MOLDEX India, “WAF is engaged in manufacturing of High-Performance Metal Working Fluids for all kinds of industries, especially for die and mould manufacturing industry to enhance productivity with guaranteed assurance. We thought this is the right forum to display to spread the same message.”
Mr Chakraborty has further highlighted, “Our state-of-the-art unique technology products will ensure guaranteed cost savings of costly tools used in die manufacturing, will save high cost machine hours and most importantly the high demanding die production time line in terms of rework of die to newly manufacturing of dies/moulds. We also have some very unique products used in final application of dies and moulds.”
Witmans Advanced Fluids is set to showcase a diverse range of products and services at MOLDEX India, catering to the specific needs of the manufacturing industry. The exhibition highlights from WAF include Biostatic and High-Performance Metal Cutting Oils designed for Die and Mould Manufacturing, Modern Synthetic Oils ensuring extended Tool Life even in High Alloyed Die Materials, and High-Performance Neat Cutting Oils tailored for Gun Drilling in Dies and Molds.
Additionally, VDA Approved Automotive Body Forming Products, Forging Products for Heavy Forgings such as Crank Shafts, Connecting Rods, and Axle Beams, along with Die Casting Release Oils for HPDC and LPDC, including plunger lubes (graphite and oil-based), are featured. Specialized Forming Oils for Stainless Steel Fasteners and Premium Hydraulic Oils for Injection Molding Machines, including fire-resistant Hydraulic fluids, complete this comprehensive lineup.
As MOLDEX coincides with the concurrent IMTEX FORMING & FASTNEX exhibitions, the company anticipates engaging with discerning customers seeking high-performance products and tailored solutions for their specific needs.
Discussing the status and his insights into the molding industry in India, Mr Chakraborty has noted the substantial potential in the country’s molding and forming sector. The encouragement from government initiatives like Make in India, Atma Nirbhar Bharat, and Skill India has attracted a multitude of unorganized, micro, small, and MSMEs into this business segment. As the second-largest country by population, India experiences a surge in domestic product demand from the molding and forming industries. Export activities are also on the rise. Key sectors contributing to the upward trend in molding industries include automotive, railways, beverages, plastics and rubber applications, and electronic appliances.
Referring to a recent survey by IBFF (Indian Brand Equity Foundation), Mr Chakraborty also highlights the significant contribution of the Plastic Industry, a component of the molding industry, amounting to Rs. 3.5 lakh crore (US$ 42.89 billion) to India’s economy. It employs over 50,000 people, with expectations of generating Rs. 10 lakh billion (US$ 122.54 billion) in annual revenue by 2027. The high demand has incentivized even micro-businesses to enhance technical skills, meet stringent quality standards, and broaden capabilities across various sectors within the thriving molding industry.
The situation, as observed by Mr Chakraborty, is similar to some Asian countries that have historically exported significant quantities of dies and moulds, India is poised to become a major hub in the near future. This growth trajectory will likely lead to increased special die and mould machine manufacturing developments by existing machine manufacturers, fostering job creation and reducing import dependency.
Witmans Advanced Fluids invites attendees to visit their stall at the MOLDEX India 2024 Exhibition, scheduled from January 19-23, 2024, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for Witmans to connect with potential customers and industry experts, showcasing its expertise in engineering plastic solutions.
