Machine Maker in association with Industry Health and Academy Experts is organizing a Webinar On-Demand “MANUFACTURING LOW-COST PPE KITS”, on 27th of May, 2020 from 4:30 p.m. IST. During times when the economy is undergoing severe financial crunch, this webinar will help manufacturers and entrepreneurs start their businesses with low investments and strengthen local manufacturing.

While mankind is enduring the COVID19 outbreak and many countries around the world are facing problems like shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In March 2020, India manufactured 0 PPE kits but within next 2 months, India has become the second-largest manufacturer of PPE kits. On average India manufactures about 1.5 lakh PPE kits and the highest per day production of 2.06 lakh PPE kits was recorded on 2nd May 2020.

While many countries are trying to tackle this shortage, India is already leading in terms of the production of PPE kits.

COVID19 is sure an uncertainty, but for India, this is a lost opportunity to come to center stage in many segments, one most critical element being manufacturing! From Zero to manufacturing lakhs of PPE accessories on a daily basis, Indians proved, nothing is unachievable”, said Hari Shanker, Managing Editor, Machine Maker who will be moderating the webinar.

Earlier this month, our honorable PM. Narendra Modi announced an economic relief package for businesses and other sectors but in his address he mentioned how India is different from the other developed countries and how within 2 months India has become self-reliant and that has been possible by learning about the production of PPE kits.

He added, “Following PM Modi’s appeal towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat, we at Machine Maker is organizing this webinar, which will guide participants to understand how low-cost PPE Kits can be manufactured, as well as effective user guidelines. We are thankful to all our expert panelists, who agreed to be part of this, and were also instrumental in India’s fight against COVID19”.

PM Modi very recently mentioned the term Atmanirbhar Bharat in his speech, which means being self-reliant. He also mentioned that being self-reliant doesn’t mean that India would step back from helping other countries.

India has always believed in “vasudhaivakutumbakam” which means that the whole world is a family and India is ready to step up and help its family. PM explained that this is a golden opportunity for us to increase our manufacturing power and help other countries.

Many educational institutions and private companies around the country have manufactured low-cost PPE kits but are open-sourced which means anyone can use its model for establishing a successful business without paying any royalty. Currently India has received orders for production of about 2.22 crore PPE kits from different countries. The government wants the small scale industries to start producing these PPE kits and is also providing loans for it.

In support of the Atmanirbhar Bharat movement The Machine Maker is coming up with a Webinar about manufacturing PPE kits at as low as Rs.100.
