The UNITED GRINDING Group is set to make a significant impact at this year’s BI-MU in Milan, where they will exhibit an expansive selection of machine tools and introduce cutting-edge digital assistance systems. This event marks a key opportunity for industry professionals to explore the latest innovations from one of the world’s leading manufacturers in the realm of grinding, eroding, laser, and measuring machines, as well as machine tools for additive manufacturing.
UNITED GRINDING will showcase four machines from its diverse technology groups—cylindrical grinding, surface and profile, and tool machining—highlighting its broad application expertise and comprehensive product portfolio. Attendees will witness the convergence of traditional craftsmanship and digital technology, reflecting the company’s commitment to innovation and efficiency.
In cylindrical grinding, STUDER will present its latest automation solution, the insertLoad system paired with the S31 universal external cylindrical grinding machine. This solution exemplifies flexibility and standardization, operable via the advanced C.O.R.E. panel. The S31 is noted for its adaptability to various production requirements, from individual pieces to large series, due to its modular system.

For surface and profile grinding, BLOHM introduces the PLANOMAT XT Essential, an entry-level surface grinding machine optimized for both reciprocating and creep-feed methods. This 3-axis machine is engineered to meet the specific demands of surface grinding with high efficiency.
The tool machining segment will feature the HELITRONIC MINI PLUS, a tool grinding machine equipped with C.O.R.E. technology ideal for producing and resharpening small to medium-sized tool diameters. Additionally, the innovative Laser Contour Check option, which allows for the non-contact measurement of tool parameters, will be demonstrated live.
Visitors can also experience the UNITED GRINDING Digital Solutions™ live, which includes the Remote Service and Production Monitor capabilities. These digital assistance systems enhance machine connectivity and allow for real-time monitoring of production data, providing operators quick and efficient support from a distance.
With a workforce of approximately 2,300 across more than 20 global locations, UNITED GRINDING continues to lead in providing high-precision tools and customer-centric services, reinforced by their strong presence in international markets through brands like MÄGERLE, BLOHM, JUNG, and others. The display at BI-MU in Milan will show United Grinding’s wide range of solutions, pushing the boundaries of the manufacturing industry.
