SolidCAM Highlights Connected Digital Manufacturing at IMTS 2026

SolidCAM showcases connected digital manufacturing solutions at IMTS 2026

Digitalisation is changing the way manufacturers approach production, with software playing a growing role in CNC programming, machining optimisation, machine monitoring and shop-floor management. At IMTS 2026 in Chicago, SolidCAM Inc will showcase its digital manufacturing technologies, focusing on solutions that can improve productivity, address machining complexity and create greater connectivity across the shop floor.

Taking place from September 14 to 19 at McCormick Place, IMTS 2026 is bringing together manufacturing technology companies across machining, automation, additive manufacturing, software, quality and digital solutions. The show’s focus on technologies that can improve productivity and reshape manufacturing aligns closely with SolidCAM’s direction toward an integrated digital manufacturing ecosystem.

At its IMTS presence, SolidCAM will bring together its CNC programming and digital manufacturing capabilities, with the company’s exhibitor profile spanning CAD/CAM software, artificial intelligence, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology and machine monitoring systems. The official IMTS exhibitor directory identifies iMachining, SolidShop and WizChat among the brands associated with its participation, reflecting the breadth of SolidCAM’s current technology portfolio.

At the machining level, iMachining remains central to SolidCAM’s productivity proposition, using advanced toolpath strategies to optimise cutting conditions and support more efficient CNC machining. Alongside this, the company’s broader CAM portfolio addresses advanced manufacturing requirements including complex multi-axis, Mill-Turn and Swiss-type machining. Its current CAM Assist offering further brings AI-assisted programming into the workflow, with SolidCAM positioning the technology around accelerating CAM programming and quoting.

The company’s presence also extends beyond the programming environment. SolidShop represents SolidCAM’s move into the connected shop floor, bringing together capabilities associated with production management, CNC machine monitoring and digital manufacturing. The inclusion of IIoT and machine monitoring among SolidCAM’s official IMTS categories reinforces this wider focus on connecting software with what happens on the shop floor.

The AI dimension adds another layer to this strategy. With IMTS 2026 itself placing growing emphasis on AI-enhanced manufacturing and introducing dedicated programming around industrial AI, SolidCAM’s focus on AI-assisted CAM and intelligent digital manufacturing places its participation within one of the show’s key technology conversations.

For Dr Emil Somekh, Founder, Managing Director and CEO of SolidCAM, the future of manufacturing is not about adding technology for its own sake. It is about making each stage of production work better together, from the first toolpath to the finished part. As he puts it, the aim is to be “shaping a smarter, more connected and efficient manufacturing future by improving how every part is programmed, machined and produced.”

Founded in 1984, SolidCAM has developed into an independent CAM technology company focused on CNC programming and manufacturing technologies. Its software integrates with leading CAD platforms including SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge and Autodesk Inventor, while its portfolio has expanded across iMachining, advanced machining, AI-assisted CAM and the SolidShop digital manufacturing ecosystem. The company describes its broader direction as an ecosystem for digital manufacturing, connecting engineering, machining and shop-floor operations within a more integrated workflow.

SolidCAM’s IMTS 2026 participation will also coincide with SolidCAM World 2026, which will take place at McCormick Place on September 15 and 16 during the exhibition. The company is using the occasion to bring its global customer and partner community into the same environment as one of the world’s largest manufacturing technology gatherings.

Visitors attending IMTS 2026 can meet SolidCAM at Hall W183abc, South Building, Level 3, Booth #135800, McCormick Place, Chicago, from September 14 to 19, to explore its latest developments across CAM, machining productivity, AI and connected digital manufacturing.
