Organized by SME Chamber of India in collaboration with Maharashtra Industrial and Economic Development Association, SME Manufacturers and Exporters Summit will be held on the 20th of March, 2020 at Hotel O, Koregaon Park, Pune from 09.00 AM to 05.00 PM. The summit is organized with the support of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, India International Trade Centre, Packaging Industry Association of India, Women Entrepreneurs Development Council, and SME Business Forum.
Subhash Desai, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, will inaugurate the summit and talk about Supporting SMEs for sustainable growth and the role of the government of Maharashtra. Chandrakant Salunkhe, Founder & President of SME Chamber of India and SME Export Promotion Council will deliver the welcome address and present the theme of the Summit. Sadashiv Survase, Jt. Director of Industries, Industries Dept., Government of Maharashtra will deliver the keynote speech followed by a presentation by Vilas Deshmukh, Regional Manager, Central Bank of India on the topic ‘Role of Banks for strengthening SMEs’ and a presentation by Nikhil Patil, GeM Business Facilitator, Maharashtra on the topic ‘GeM Platform-Advantages and formalities for SMEs’.
The Plenary Sessions will begin at 11:15 AM. The topics for this session include Manufacturing & SME Sector – Challenges, opportunities, and trends, Smart Manufacturing Ecosystem – Advantages & Benefits, Capital Market Access to SMEs – Challenges and hurdles and Impact of the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016 & benefits to the SME & MSME sector.
The second Plenary Session will begin at 12:45 PM where the panel will discuss Joint Ventures & Technology Transfer – Legal Formalities, Unique insurance products & services – advantage & benefits for SMEs and Strengthening Industry & SMEs –Technology & Industrial solutions. This discussion will be followed by Lunch from 13:30 PM to 14:15 PM
The third Plenary session will begin at 14:15 PM where the discussions will be around Strategies for transforming SMEs in emerging enterprises, Mitigating Risk of SMEs: Innovative Insurance Products & Service, Digital transformation: advantages and benefits for SMEs and Trade Finance facilities for SME Manufacturer Exporters.
The SMEtalks session or the panel discussion will begin after the third plenary session comes to an end. In this session, the panel will discuss Entrepreneurial leadership qualities – how to face challenges, seize the opportunities, and eliminate the threats. The summit will be concluded after the discussion on transformation strategies.
