Rego-Fix

Swiss tooling solutions expert REGO-FIX has been specializing in holistic toolholding systems for over five decades, excelling in precision, quality and reliability. This legacy of excellence was appreciated and applauded at INTEC 2024, where REGO-FIX showcased a diverse array of products designed to elevate the capabilities of the Machine Tool industry.

At INTEC 2024, held recently at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore, REGO-FIX took center stage with a showcase of their latest innovations. While briefly speaking about the company journey, Vikas Gore, Business Development Manager, REGO-FIX India, said, “REGO-FIX has always been at the forefront of high precision tools. Since our founding, we’ve expanded globally establishing more than 50 partnerships globally with some subsidiaries in USA, China and Brazil, serving industries like automotive and aerospace with our top-notch solutions.” He also mentioned, “Since 2019, REGO-FIX has had direct representation in India, with our headquarters based in Pune.”

Today, REGO-FIX continues to innovate with products like the powRgrip, known for its strong grip and vibration reduction, and the reCool system, which upgrades tools for internal cooling. “Our products help industries like automotive and aerospace achieve high precision,” said P. Siva Kumaarr, Regional Sales Manager, REGO-FIX India.

Success is built on years of experience and bringing people together. Users’ satisfaction and positive experiences with REGO-FIX products highlight this fact.  Naveen Kumar R, Director, Deneb Machinery Works, shared his experience: “REGO-FIX tools have improved our machining accuracy and efficiency.” Similar such sentiment was echoed by S. Jayakumar, Managing Partner, Shayan Tooling Solutions, who emphasized the tools’ role in achieving precise results.

REGO-FIX Innovations at INTEC 2024

powRgrip System: The powRgrip System stands out for its excellent runout, high vibration dampening, and secure handling, making it ideal for high-speed milling and drilling. The system offers a fully automatic clamping mechanism with a five-year warranty, ensuring reliability and ease of use. A manual version is also available, providing the same level of pressure and clamping efficiency.

reCool System: The reCool System allows for the cost-effective retrofitting of existing static or driven tooling systems to internal cooling, suitable for both oil and emulsion. It supports speeds up to 12,000 rpm and coolant pressures up to 150 bar with high-pressure hoses. The system can be converted in just two minutes, making it a versatile and time-saving solution for enhancing tooling performance.

Force Master: The Force Master is designed to accurately measure the spindle clamping force, ensuring optimal machine performance. This modular device comes with adapters for various spindle interfaces and features app-based machine park management, data management, export capabilities, and visual documentation, integrating seamlessly into digital production environments.

Spindle Cleaner: The Spindle Cleaner simplifies maintenance by effectively removing rust from machine spindles. Its straightforward design ensures that machines remain in top condition, reducing downtime and maintaining efficiency.

With this, REGO-FIX wrapped up successfully at INTEC 2024 showcasing their years of success stories. They also gave an example of how they met the evolving needs of their customers, fostering long-lasting partnerships, and maintaining the highest standards of Swiss craftsmanship. Over the decades, the company has consistently pushed the boundaries of engineering, creating groundbreaking products like the ER collet chuck and the powRgrip system. Their commitment to sustainability and technological advancement has not only driven their success but also set industry standards worldwide.

REGO-FIX began its remarkable journey in 1950 when Fritz Weber founded the one-man company ‘Fritz Weber Feinmechanik und Werkzeugbau’ in Reigoldswil, Switzerland. The company’s first product, a broomholder, set the foundation for what would become a legacy of innovation and quality in toolholding solutions. As it grew, REGO-FIX saw early growth and vision from 1950-1970 as it expanded into a new factory.

The 1960s marked a period of diversification and success with products like the cheese cutting machine and yoghurt bottling machine. Innovation took centre stage from 1972 to 1980, as there was continuous development of new prototypes and accessories to meet growing customer demands. REGO-FIX continued its pioneering journey in the 1980s, acquiring a CNC 4-axis lathe from Okuma, which marked a significant technological milestone. In 1988, the company expanded its global footprint by establishing an American branch office, bringing Swiss-made quality to the US market.

The early 2000s saw the launch of the innovative powRgrip system, designed for high-precision and high-speed applications. The micRun system, introduced in 2014, and other innovations like reCool and secuRgrip, further solidified the company’s reputation. REGO-FIX marked the 50th anniversary of the ER collet in 2022, celebrating a revolutionary invention that has become integral to machining centers worldwide. The company continued its global expansion in 2023, inaugurating subsidiaries in Mexico, Brazil, Italy, India, and Japan to better serve local markets.
