The Oman Design & Build Week, which incorporates The BIG Show and Oman Real Estate Exhibition (OREX), is vibrant networking and sourcing platform for the building and real estate industry. FIEO with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, is planning to participate in OMAN DESIGN & BUILD WEEK scheduled from 14-16 March 2022 in Oman.
India and Oman have very old, cordial and friendly relations. Oman is one of the important trading partners of India in the West Asia Region and is home to a large Indian expatriate community. Over the years, India’s trade with Oman has been consistent. India’s exports to Oman reached US$ 2.3 Bn in 2020-21. Held annually, Oman Design & Build Week offers Indian companies a convenient platform to promote brands and products to 11,000 highly qualified buyers that include decision-makers from architects, consultants, contractors, distributors, engineers and procurement managers from across Oman.

The Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) is set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. FIEO with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, will enable Indian companies to exhibit at the Oman Design & Build Week. The exhibition is expected to have 15000 visitors, showcasing innovations from more than 300 exhibitors from 20 countries.
There is an Indian pavilion that will showcase, Construction Materials & Machineries like Hardware & Hand Tools, Tools, Fasteners, Construction machinery and Heavy Equipment, Prefabricated buildings, Interior structure and decoration, Ceramics, Stones, Sanitary Wares, Roofing Materials & Technology, Finishing Materials, Furniture, Décor Elements, Infrastructure equipment, Bathroom-kitchen hardware, Heating Equipment, Domestic and Industrial (Water Supply Equipment’s, Wastewater Technologies, Water Treatments, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Cooling, Water Purifier, and Climate Control Equipment’s etc.
There will be also innovations exhibited from Construction Equipment and technologies – Road Construction Equipment’s, Earthmoving Machinery, Cranes, Material Handling Equipment’s, Conveyors, Asphalt Plants, Compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, Excavators, Loaders, Graders, bulldozers, tractors, mini excavators, Tires, Excavators, Loaders, Graders, bulldozers, tractors, mini excavators, Electricity, generator, lighting, automation. In the Energy expo – Cable Conductor Products, Industrial Boilers, Heat Generating Equipment’s, Energy Efficiency & Saving Equipment’s and Technologies, Power Engineering, Power heat, Gas Supply Equipment’s and Electric Power Industry, Fuel Materials is expected to be showcased.
There will be a section for Safety Equipments including Industrial Safety, Security technologies, CCTV, Alarm & Warning, Fire Safety, Security television and surveillance, System solutions for integrated security of construction facilities and Traffic Safety.

As per the information shared by Dr Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO of FIEO, the participation charges are highly subsidised, as the event is proposed under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) scheme of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. With the Government of India assistance and FIEO’s contribution, the tentative participation charges for a 4 sq meter fully built-up booth is expected to be ₹100,000/-, which will include one table, two chairs, Carpet, fascia name board with the company name displayed on it and basic electrical fittings.
The above-mentioned participation charges do not include Visa charges, sending display material, any additional fixtures & furniture in the booth. These are to be borne by the companies. The subsidized participation fee is based on the anticipated grant from the Ministry. In case of any variation, the participation fee may be revised. A company can only avail of MAI assistance only three times for a particular event.
