Messe Frankfurt India is all set to launch the E-mobility India Forum

The NGV India summit will bring together famous EV brand executives and government officials to discuss the country’s significant prospects and obstacles on the road to achieving a complete EV ecosystem. Over the last few years, the Indian government’s rising concern for the environment has fuelled demand for zero-emission vehicles. In addition, the comprehensive support and policies in place to promote e-mobility have helped to nurture the industry’s value chain within the country slowly but steadily.

The E-Mobility India Forum powered by NGV India Summit will bring the industry’s “who’s who” under one roof on October 7th, 2021 at Le Meridien, New Delhi, as the EV industry continues to establish itself in the Indian automotive ecosystem. The forum will be hosted under the safety regulations of ‘MFI SafeConnect,’ created by Messe Frankfurt India in accordance with the government’s health and safety guidelines, to guarantee a secure in-person experience.

The discussion will cover a wide range of subjects, including the conversion to e-mobility, the competition/opportunity generated by Tesla’s entry into the Indian market, as well as EV subsidies, legislative obstacles, and the government’s assistance to speed electrification. The forum will also cover the challenges that automobile OEMs face as they transition to the EV ecosystem, as well as boosting EV component manufacturing growth under Make in India and a session on EV infrastructure and innovative business models.

The Maharashtra government recently announced a new electric car policy, with the goal of achieving a 10% share of new vehicle registrations for EVs by 2025. This new policy exempts all-electric vehicles (EVs) sold in Maharashtra from paying road tax for the duration of the programme. The new strategy intends to develop at least one sophisticated lithium-ion battery manufacturing unit in the state, as well as 1,500 charging stations in the Mumbai metropolitan region.
