From Tuesday, May 6 to Friday, May 9, 2025, fieramilano Rho will host the twenty-third edition of LAMIERA, the premier international exhibition dedicated to the sheet metal forming and cutting industry, featuring cutting-edge machine tools and innovative technologies.
Over the years, LAMIERA has emerged as a pivotal event in the global landscape of sheet metal forming and cutting exhibitions. Italy, which ranks second globally in production and exports and third in consumption within this sector, takes center stage at this event.
Organized by CEU-CENTRO ESPOSIZIONI UCIMU and promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian association of machine tool, robot, and automation system manufacturers, LAMIERA remains Italy’s exclusive trade fair for the metal forming sector. The event is a key platform for both Italian and international companies to debut their latest projects and innovative solutions.
The exhibition will showcase a wide array of machines, plants, and equipment for processing sheet metal, tubes, profiles, wires, and structural metal fabrication. This includes presses, molds and dies, molding equipment, surface treatments, finishing processes, parts, components, accessories, tooling, fastener materials, and technical and industrial subcontracting. The theme for this edition, “The Bright Side of Metal Forming,” highlights the state-of-the-art technologies on display.
In addition to its core exhibits, LAMIERA 2025 will emphasize several technological themes related to machine tools, including FABBRICA FUTURA, which focuses on software, connectivity, data management, automation, digital systems, and robotics for sheet metal processing. SALDATECH will provide insights into welding, a crucial technology for sheet-metal joining, while FASTENER INDUSTRY will showcase screws, bolts, and fastening and clamping systems. The WORLD OF HEAT AND SURFACE TREATMENTS will feature machines, systems, accessories, and consumables for pre- and post-production treatments of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. METROLOGY & TESTING will highlight essential testing, measuring, and quality-control systems and machines. BLECH ITALY SERVICE will cover technical subcontracting and services for the industry. This year, LAMIERA also introduces a new Revamping & Retrofitting area, focusing on renewed and upgraded machines and plants to meet market demands for advanced functionalities.
Alfredo Mariotti, General Manager of UCIMU, emphasized the unique position of LAMIERA in the Italian exhibition landscape: “LAMIERA is the only event dedicated exclusively to machines for cutting, processing, and forming sheet metal. The high quality on show and the focus on innovative exhibition themes make the fair increasingly relevant and appealing both nationally and internationally.”
He added, “LAMIERA attracts international operators, offering the best opportunity to observe the biggest players in the sector. Data from previous editions show strong participation from both Italian and foreign manufacturers, driving the event’s international appeal.”
With subscriptions already pouring in, Mariotti is optimistic about the event’s prospects: “The international and domestic market trends expected to grow through 2025-2027, and the availability of Transition 5.0 and 4.0 incentives throughout 2025, will favor all operators who decide to exhibit at LAMIERA, hosted in the world’s third-largest consumer market and the first in Europe.”
Enhancing the exhibition further, LAMIERA will return with a rich program of meetings on relevant industry topics, foreign operator engagement, and educational initiatives.
