The 2021 edition of EMO, the world machine tool exhibition, will be held in Milan, which is regarded as the most important trade show for operators in the global manufacturing industry. EMO MILANO 2021 is organised by CECIMO, the European Association of Machine Tool Industries, in association with UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, Italian Machine Tools Association.
EMO is a travelling exhibition that alternates between Italy and Germany. It is the undisputed leader in the sector’s trade fair panorama. This distinguishes it from other machine tools, robots, and automation manufacturing sector events throughout the world. The Italian machine tool, robot, and automation system manufacturing industry, which ranks fourth in the international rankings for production and exports, has long played a significant role in the global scenario.
EMO’s product portfolio is distinguished by a high technological level – thanks, in part, to the digital transformation enabled by Transition 4.0 provisions – as well as substantial customisation of solutions to meet demand requirements.
At EMO MILANO 2021, which will transform Fieramilano Rho into the largest digital factory ever set up within an exhibition centre, machine tools, robots, production systems, enabling technologies, solutions for interconnected and digital factories, and additive manufacturing will be the real key players.
“EMO MILANO 2021 will surely draw participants from all key user industries, including automotive, aerospace, energy, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, metal products, medicines, furniture/home furnishings, and electrical household appliances,” said Alfredo Mariotti, General Manager of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE. The event will kick off with an Inaugural Ceremony on Monday, October 4th, at 10.30 a.m. in the Auditorium of the Fiera Milano Rho Service Centre.
EMO, organised by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian machine tool, robot, and automation systems manufacturers’ association, will be held in Italy for the first time in six years, following the success of the 2015 edition, which was the first international exhibition event focused on the sector after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
A total exhibition space of 110,000 sq. M will display industry production, as well as the product offerings of the roughly 700 exhibiting companies, 60% of which are foreign companies.
After all, the halls of Fieramilano Rho will host the best international products presented by the sector, which is becoming increasingly intertwined with the issue of interconnection, which permits all those high-value-added tasks that the manufacturing industry can no longer do without. As a result, EMO MILANO 2021 will once again be a gathering place for the industry’s most competent operators who are interested in planning new investments in production technology.
Aside from the wide and varied product ranges on display, EMO MILANO 2021 will include a number of side initiatives, including EMO Digital, an exhibition space dedicated to digital technologies; EMO Additive Manufacturing, a space dedicated to one of the most promising fields of manufacturing production; and EMO Start-Up, a space dedicated to new businesses developing products and projects related to manufacturing.
In keeping with the tradition of EMO MILANO 2021, the organisers and structures of the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre have implemented a protocol on safety measures for the containment of the Covid-19 pandemic spread (which is already available on the exhibition website). This is a further incentive for the participation of operators from the sector, both from Italy and from abroad.
