Creative Engineering Works, a Mumbai-based manufacturer, exporter, supplier, and service provider specializing in Wire Cut Machine Work, CNC Turning Work, Grinding Work, Water Jet Cutting Work, and Engineering Consultation, is set to make a significant impact at the upcoming MOLDEX INDIA 2024 exhibition in Bangalore. This event, organized by Messe Stuttgart, is a key gathering for professionals in the metalworking and plastic molding industries, offering a platform for experts to showcase products, exchange knowledge, and foster valuable business connections.

In an exclusive interview with Machine Maker, Subodh Joshi, the Director of Creative Engineering Works, provides an in-depth overview of the company’s background and operations. Recognizing the demand for precision mold-making and the challenges associated with obtaining intricate molds from traditional dye makers, Mr Joshi leveraged his expertise in CNC VMCS. This prompted the establishment of a dedicated workshop, known as A2 room, specializing in the production of precise plastic component molds. Transitioning from a design consultancy, Mr Joshi, being a product designer himself, capitalized on his intricate knowledge of product features. This unique advantage allowed him to integrate precise design elements into the mold manufacturing process, ensuring optimal fitments and tolerances for various applications. As the mold-making practices at Creative Engineering Works evolved into a streamlined and efficient operation, the company encountered substantial challenges related to moldings. Acknowledging the pursuit of perfection in their journey, the need for acquiring diverse machinery became apparent. Consequently, the company established a molding shop, enabling the testing and production of molds in trial phases and small batches. While Creative Engineering Works doesn’t produce proprietary items, the company positions itself as an A1 window solution, offering comprehensive services to customers.

Mr Joshi highlighted the motive behind participating in the MOLDEX India Exhibition, emphasizing the importance of providing exposure to MSMEs in India, “There are two, three aspects behind it. Everyone is aware that MSMEs are playing a major role into the growth and developments of the bigger industries as well as our country India. Unfortunately, the people like us, who are working in the MSME’s, don’t get a direct exposure to the foreign countries and their buyers over there.” Mr Joshi further elaborates on the challenges faced by MSMEs in India, emphasizing the difficulty in accessing high-quality products domestically. He points out the dichotomy in Indian businesses, where entrepreneurs are predominantly engaged in either household consumer products or industrial products. The absence of a unified platform hinders mutual understanding and effective business transactions. Hence, he considers the upcoming exhibition as a valuable opportunity for MSMEs to engage with international buyers and foster meaningful business relationships.

Discussing about the role of mold industry in the upcoming years as well as the company’s contribution in it, Mr Joshi expressed optimism about the opportunities existing globally, particularly in fields where plastics play a crucial role. He emphasized the need for increased participation of the plastic industry in India’s growth, envisioning a substantial increase from the current 6-7% to 25-30%. Looking ahead to the MOLDEX exhibition, Mr Joshi outlined the major services that Creative Engineering Works would like to exhibit include laboratory equipment and medical pharma equipment. He anticipates a positive response and aims to leverage the exhibition to connect with potential customers, industry experts, and explore collaborations.

Scheduled from January 19-23, 2024, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, MOLDEX INDIA 2024 is poised to be a significant event for Creative Engineering Works. The company is eager to connect with new stakeholders, build fruitful business relationships, and showcase its prowess in engineering plastics solutions. Stay tuned for exclusive insights and highlights from the exhibition as Creative Engineering Works looks forward to making a lasting impression.
