When a global leader of the manufacturing industry with over 150 years of experience takes center stage in providing complex manufacturing solutions, it’s clear that the company excels in covering the entire process chain, from soft to hard machining. This exemplifies the EMAG group, who have recently participated at INTEC 2024 showcasing their years of innovation in the machining world and their dedication towards their customers.
EMAG India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the EMAG Group headquartered in Salach, Germany established a decade ago, became the first manufacturer in the world to build a turning machine with a pick-up work spindle that travels the main axes while the tooling systems remain stationary. EMAG has since provided superior customer applications and technological flexibility to the Indian manufacturing industry.
With their recent participation in the INTEC 2024 exhibition which was scheduled from June 6-10, organized by the Coimbatore District Small Scale Industries Association at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex , the EMAG India Pvt Ltd, showcased their latest advancements in machine tool technology.
Meeting Diverse Needs with Precision
The EMAG stall featured the VL 2 model and a wide range of critical components manufactured using various EMAG machines, attracting manufacturers from Coimbatore and nearby regions. A. Chackravarthy, Regional Manager, EMAG India, who was been heading the charge to explain the exhibits and how the company in machine building is empowering the growing Indian manufacturing sector. Mr Chackravarthy, highlighted that, “At EMAG India, our commitment to innovation drives us to deliver solutions that transform industries and lead the charge in advancing India’s manufacturing landscape”.
The VL 2 vertical turning machine is one of their flagship products. It’s designed for chucked components up to 100 mm in diameter and combines multiple production technologies with integrated automation. This machine is not only efficient but also extremely precise, making it a favorite among manufacturers.
The VL 2’s stable structure, dynamic axes, and ease of operation are just a few features that set it apart. It is built on a robust MINERALIT® polymer concrete base, ensuring high strength and excellent damping. The machine’s compact design, occupying just 5 square meters, makes it ideal for factories with space constraints.
