Initializing their journey a decade ago as a service-oriented company, RadCAM Technologies has established itself as one of India’s leading machinery, software service provider and consulting company. In an exclusive interview with the Machine Maker, Shiddhalingesh Jolad talks about RadCAM Technologies, the Italian companies they represent in India and the company’s future plans in India.

For any fabrication company in India, the machine is the heart and understanding the savings on the process they adopt is the bloodline. If they both don’t happen in sync then the company can’t compete with today’s thin margins and big ask out of them,” says Shiddhalingesh Jolad, Managing Director of RadCAM Technologies.

RadCAM has serviced a large sector of machinery, related software and engineering services covering a footprint Korea to the USA. The driving force of the company, its employee’s value their client base who helped them grow at a high rate and have been a constant pillar of support to serve their needs.

The company deals with a wide array of products from metal cutting to metal forming industry. They are focused primarily on the CNC machines to cut and size the raw material, then processing it in various machinery like punching, laser, milling, turning and then the finishing machines like buffing, polishing, deburring along with effective and easy CAD/CAM software, tools to achieve all this.

“From Italy, we bring the famous brand of Euromac to India which is very different than what our formidable competition is offering over the decade. They have many patented technology advances which help customers to save heavily on their spending and of course, they earn as good as they produce”, adds Mr.  Jolad.

Italian companies are prominent by their direct presence in India

Italian companies have been producing top-notch machinery since long. They are probably the second biggest in Europe after Germany in this field. It is the third largest economy in the Eurozone which has a significant trade surplus. It has over the last century focused on different fields from agriculture to automotive to fashion. Shiddhalingesh says, “We Indians own at least one item from Italy for sure. They have started penetrating Indian socio economics a while ago and now it’s prominent by their direct presence in Indian trade fairs.”

Indian market is very big

On the challenges the company has been facing, he says, “We as a company have achieved a part of what had been planned, but we still have a long way to go. The market is very big but somewhere remains unattended which depicts the lack of infrastructure. Here in India, the hurdles lie with the depletion of manpower resources.”

A man of determination

Being a toolmaker, Shiddhalingesh started his career as a tool room engineer. After donning multiple roles in the organisations he has worked into, he pursued an MBA and got into sales of software and machinery. Starting an organization with no history in the family and with dependency on one product, Mr. Jolad learned his lessons to diversify into not only multiple products but the services which are more valuable to the customers.

Indian market growth

Any company that establishes a fan base, plant, factory in India will add to the growth of India and its ancillary supply companies.  The market will see a steady growth if not surge in the near future. It should be in its peak by the next 4-5 years.
