Celebrate Pride with Fun, this National Technology Day

Did you know that the average computer user blinks 7 times a minute which is less than half the normal rate of 20? Having read this, you tried to count the blinks. Right? Yes you did, because our brain is trained in the way which instructs it to try whatever it has read. So basically, we ourselves are a technology.

On the occasion of National Technology Day, this blog takes you to the unexplored land and facts of technologies that have changed our perspectives and views of seeing the world. But before jumping onto that, let us take a look at what initiated this day.

Observed on 11th May every year, the Technology Day commemorates the anniversary of Shakti- Pokhran Nuclear test, which was held on 11 May 1998. India had successfully test fired the nuclear bombs in Pokhran, administrated by Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Adding to the day's achievements and importance, the Defence Research and Development Organisation accomplished the last test fire of Trishul missile. The missile was later introduced to the Indian Army and air force.

Apart from the nuclear tests conducted, India’s first indigenous aircraft – the Hansa 3, a two-seater aircraft designed by the National Aerospace Laboratory – took flight in the state of Bengaluru.
