In a step towards promoting clean transportation and safer roads, Zypp Electric has partnered with Gurugram Traffic Police to launch a citywide initiative titled “Green Hai Toh Zypp Hai.” The campaign was formally kicked off at Zypp’s headquarters in Sector 66, Gurugram, with an electric vehicle rally that brought together hundreds of riders.
The event was graced by Dr Rajesh Mohan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Gurugram, who joined as the Chief Guest and emphasized the need for collective efforts in building safer road habits and sustainable mobility solutions. The campaign centers around two key messages: “Green Hai Toh Zypp Hai” — advocating for electric vehicle use as a sustainable choice — and “Drive Right Shine Bright” — encouraging responsible, law-abiding driving.
As part of the initiative, Zypp Electric will collaborate with the traffic department to roll out regular road safety awareness events. Additionally, road safety training modules will be integrated into the Zypp Pilot App, helping delivery riders gain knowledge of traffic rules and earn incentives for safe driving.
This joint effort is designed to empower delivery personnel, improve compliance with road regulations, and further integrate road safety into daily operations. The launch rally saw significant participation from Zypp riders, sending a strong message to residents of Gurugram on the importance of electric mobility and disciplined driving.
With the city facing increasing concerns over pollution and traffic incidents, the campaign aims to build a culture of responsibility and green choices on the road. The campaign launch coincided with Zypp Electric’s Foundation Day and the announcement of a major financial achievement — the company has become EBITDA positive, underscoring its sustainable business growth.
Zypp has completed over 112 million deliveries, including 47 million quick commerce orders, helping reduce more than 55 million kilograms of CO₂ emissions. Alongside environmental progress, the company has empowered more than 200,000 gig workers, with top riders earning upwards of ₹14 lakh.
Currently operating a fleet of over 20,000 electric vehicles, Zypp Electric plans to scale to 100,000 EVs within 12–18 months. The next growth phase will cover India’s key urban markets, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, and Jaipur. Looking ahead, the company aims to expand its EV fleet to 500,000 by 2028, with a bold target of 100% electrification of last-mile deliveries.
Founded in 2017, Zypp Electric is a technology-driven platform offering electric vehicles for last-mile delivery across India. With a mission to achieve zero emissions, the company operates on an asset-light model, supporting e-commerce, grocery, food, and pharmacy deliveries using IoT-enabled, AI-powered electric scooters. Its tech ecosystem includes smart battery swapping infrastructure and fleet tracking, enabling lower delivery costs and reduced urban pollution. Zypp continues to play a key role in reshaping urban logistics with sustainable, scalable solutions.
