Ziehl-Abegg, the world’s leading manufacturer of electric motors and fans, has announced its plans to establish a new production facility in Vietnam as part of its global expansion strategy. The company aims to increase its production capacities and enhance its proximity to its global customer base.
The official founding ceremony of the new subsidiary, “Ziehl-Abegg Vietnam,” was held on July 11 in Ho Chi Minh City. With an investment of approximately 25 million euros, a new facility is currently under construction near Ho Chi Minh City. In response to the ongoing high demand from customers, construction work has already begun, and production at the new facility is scheduled to commence in the first half of 2024, with full-scale production expected by the end of the same year. Spanning across a total area of 14,000 square meters, the production site will have 12,900 square meters dedicated to manufacturing and 1,100 square meters for administrative purposes. This expansion follows recent investments in increasing production capacities in Poland and the United States, as well as ongoing investments in Germany.
Joachim Ley, the Production Director of Ziehl-Abegg, emphasized the importance of expanding production facilities worldwide to meet growing customer demands. He stated, “The new facility in Vietnam is particularly important for the markets in Asia and Australia; it helps us continue to offer our customers the best possible solutions.” The establishment of “Ziehl-Abegg Vietnam” marks another significant step for the company’s global expansion strategy. By setting up a production facility in Vietnam, Ziehl-Abegg aims to strengthen its presence in the Asian and Australian markets, enabling it to better serve its customers in these regions.
The company also revealed that Alexander Reich will assume the role of Managing Director of Ziehl-Abegg Vietnam. Alongside Joachim Ley, the COO, Reich will play a crucial role in driving the success of the new facility.
