ZF is set to present a broad portfolio of technologies aimed at supporting the future of sustainable, efficient and safe public transportation at Busworld Türkiye 2026, taking place in Istanbul from June 17–19. The company will highlight innovations spanning electric driveline systems, advanced safety technologies and digital fleet management solutions designed to help bus manufacturers and operators improve performance while reducing operating costs.

As Türkiye continues to strengthen its position as a key manufacturing hub for domestic and export-oriented bus production, ZF remains focused on supporting the region’s transition toward cleaner and more intelligent mobility solutions. The company’s strong local presence and integrated technology portfolio enable manufacturers and fleet operators to meet evolving market requirements and regulatory standards.

One of the key technologies on display will be the AxTrax 2 LF electric portal axle for city buses. Developed to enhance efficiency and vehicle performance, the system delivers substantial reductions in energy consumption compared with previous generations. The improved efficiency can help operators extend vehicle range or reduce battery capacity requirements, contributing to lower total ownership costs.

The electric axle is complemented by a newly introduced health-check software solution that enables remote monitoring of drivetrain performance. By analyzing operational data and identifying potential issues before they escalate, the system helps maximize vehicle uptime and improve maintenance planning.

ZF will also present its latest e-comp Scroll air compressor technology developed for hybrid, battery-electric and fuel-cell commercial vehicles. The oil-free compressor has been engineered to provide compressed air with exceptionally low noise and vibration levels. As electric buses become increasingly quiet, reducing auxiliary system noise has become an important consideration for vehicle manufacturers seeking improved passenger comfort.

In the field of active safety, ZF will showcase its latest advanced driver assistance systems portfolio designed to support compliance with evolving General Safety Regulation requirements. The solutions combine radar, camera and software technologies to provide features such as intelligent speed assistance, blind-spot monitoring and driver alertness warnings. These systems are intended to improve safety for drivers, passengers and vulnerable road users while supporting efficient fleet operations.

Digitalization remains another important focus area. ZF Bus Connect, the company’s telematics platform for bus fleets, will demonstrate how real-time vehicle monitoring can help operators improve efficiency, optimize maintenance schedules and gain greater visibility into vehicle performance. The platform includes specialized analytics for electric vehicle batteries and drivetrain components, helping operators make data-driven decisions that improve reliability and operational efficiency.
