The Oragadam Industrial Park exemplifies sustainable industrial practices with its innovative environmental initiatives. The facility operates with zero emissions, eliminating the use of fossil fuels and preventing 900 tons of CO2e emissions annually. It is powered entirely by 100% renewable energy, with 40% sourced from rooftop solar panels and the remaining 60% from solar and wind group-captive sources, ensuring clean and sustainable energy consumption.
The park is committed to water positivity, incorporating advanced systems like rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment, and efficient water usage to promote sustainable water management. Additionally, the facility prioritizes employee well-being, featuring energy-efficient cooling systems and eco-friendly materials that enhance workplace comfort and health, aligning with its overarching goal of environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
The facility incorporates advanced energy-saving technologies, including rooftop solar panels, LED lighting, natural ventilation, and recyclable materials. Its water conservation measures, sustainable landscaping, and low-VOC paints further reduce its environmental footprint. As ZF’s 10th facility in Tamil Nadu and 18th in India, the Oragadam Industrial Park underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and community well-being, setting a high standard for industrial facilities worldwide.
